Well you may not like it at all, very dark humor which is right up my aisle. One of the vampires gets his cape stuck in a cab door and he’s drug down the street but he’s immortal, so it ends up being funny (he swears a lot because of it). Okay, this sounds right up my alley. I don't have cable. Is it on Netflix or Hulu? Hulu. I watched 3 of them last night and laughed my ass off, I wish my older son was here, because I think he'd like watching it with me. Seriously, the defeating the werewolf with a squeaky toy and the vampires trying to attend a city council meeting just killed me. I was done at 3 though, couldn't binge any more than that. It is small doses thing for me I think. I think I'll put it on again tonight after Carrot goes to bed.

I sent that series name to DH to watch. He's on month 5 of disability and running out of stuff to watch. Here's hoping he likes it! I'm no help to him as I hate the TV. He watches it when I'm at work 😄 he appreciated the suggestion.

Thanks for this comment. I checked out a clip online and it looks interesting. Well you may not like it at all, very dark humor which is right up my aisle. One of the vampires gets his cape stuck in a cab door and he’s drug down the street but he’s immortal, so it ends up being funny (he swears a lot because of it). I'd expect a gag like that. I'm wondering why you think I in specific wouldn't like it.

You need to watch 3 or 4 shows to really click with it - and pay attention to the snide little comments they make to each other.

DH and I have just adored this series. I don't think we'd have ever discovered it without the pandemic. We haven't started watching Season 6 though. It's the beginning of school, and we just haven't had the wherewithal. It's really my favorite show and favorite fictional character of all time. That said, season 6 isn't all that great. It's not bad, but it's just kind of wrapping things up. So, it can totally wait until you have time for it. I thought season 5 was the series finale and was surprised to see season 6. It was fun because I love the show so much, but honestly I'm surprised they did it.

I have been watching On the Verge on Netflix. I am enjoying it - but that might be because I am a middle-aged female and I can relate the the characters. It's surprising the show isn't getting more publicity.

I’ve been watching Virgin River on Netflix. So far, I like it!
DD1 and I have been watching Master Chef Junior on Hulu. Let’s just say, those kids make things I’ve never heard of before at times. 😱

Finished up Season 3 of Manifest and Season 4 of Dear White People.
Both were quite good.
Someone recommended Virgin River but then I read how whitewashed it is and I'm probably going to skip it.

Just watched episode 1 of Squid. It has a slow start but picks up about midway through. I'll watch the rest this weekend.

Sweet Tooth is pretty good. Made it through almost all of the first season in a couple days.

I'm wondering why you think I in specific wouldn't like it. It wasn’t you specifically - it’s me. I’ve found out the hard way I have a weird and dark sense of humor. I have often recommended books or TV shows/movies to people who told me later they thought my picks were horrible. For instance, I think Pulp Fiction was hysterically funny. I haven’t met another woman who agrees with me on that one. (Plenty of men do, though). Another one was Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, with Robert Downey Jr, especially a scene where someone accidentally pees on a corpse in the shower. I shared that DVD with several other people, none of whom liked it. And one of my favorite books is An Instance of the Fingerpost, and everyone I’ve lent it to (including my husband) haven’t been able to get through the first quarter of the book. So I always try to insert the warning ‘if you like darkly funny things’ or ‘this may not be your kind of thing’ because so often, it isn’t. I’m weird I guess.

Finished Maid a couple of days ago. It had some depressing parts but is a good limited series show.
Just started Dopesick on Hulu. Finding it to be very interesting.
I'm really into limited series these days. I like stories that wrap up in 6-10 episodes.

I enjoyed Maid as well - warning domestic violence triggers. I thought it was a great example of how hard it can be to get ahead when your unlucky breaks outnumber any lucky ones.

I always cringed when her current financial figures would pop up on the screen. The show really reminded me how lucky I am in so many ways.

I watched Maid last week. It was really good, but tough to watch. Definitely triggering.
I started watching "You" curled up in the parking lot waiting for Carrot all morning. I'm still only on episode 3 or 4 of Season 1, and like it, but not sure where it's going...

I watched This Changes Everything earlier this week which has caused me to start seeking out content solely by women directors. Currently watching Level 16.

Watching Destination Wedding with Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder in it. It’s definitely a different movie and not a typical romantic comedy. I’m 57 minutes into it and they are the only 2 people to talk in it except a section of a movie they are watching (but you don’t see). I’m already 2/3rds in so I’ll finish it, but I won’t be watching it again.

I'm enjoying "Sex Education" about a group of hormone-crazed HS students in England. Definitely explicit language but the action is nowhere near as "exposed" as, say, "Shameless". The main character is a teenage boy who's inexperienced and trying to find his way sexually, whose life is made difficult because his mother is a sex therapist and has a very active sex life of her own.

Just found out Black Widow is now free on Disney+. Tried to watch it on the plane, but couldn't get it to work on my tablet. We'll probably watch it together at home this weekend.

Carrot and I watched that last week. It's pretty good. I got a week free of Apple TV just to binge "See" with Jason Momoa. Like I don't have enough streaming crap to watch.

I liked that one a lot. I'm watching What If now on Disney and I'd say I'm surprisingly hooked, but realisticly anything cannon I'll almost certainly like.

Just finished up Coded Bias on Netflix. It's about algorithmic bias. There's comparison between the U.S., China, and the UK.

Just watched 2 episodes of The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel. I'm finding it kind of creepy and the cat jumped up on the sofa and scared the ever loving crap out of me. I also like to watch TV in the dark. It's very interesting though...it's only 4 episodes. I don't think I can stay up until midnight to finish it.

About halfway thru In the Dark about a blind girl trying to solve a murder which is interesting bc both MIL and FIL are blind so I have some firsthand experience. Main actor is decent. I'm enjoying the story but could do without all the gratuitous humping.
