Is there a weight loss support thread going on WIR? I thought there was one from the old board but wasn't in a place to deal with my weight then. Now I guess I'm ready to deal with it and am looking for support/cheerleading...

Let's make this the thread! We were just talking about this on the MW board last week. No one has started a new one (at least not to my knowledge).
I never joined the old one, but I would like to be a part of the new one. I don't quite remember how they did it, but I'm sure someone will jump on and point us in the right direction.
In the meantime... how is it going for you? What are you doing to help control your weight? I'm doing WW online, but next week I plan to start attending meetings again. It worked well for me before (lost ~35 lbs). But sadly I gained it all back.

I want to join to, but I probably won't be doing anything serious for a couple of weeks. I am weaning the little one and could not diet while I was breastfeeding. If I restricted calories, my supply would tank. He will be weaned in a few weeks, and I will ready to go. Right now I am reading Naturally Thin. I actually really like.

Done. Yeah, I was losing weight when I bf'd DD but with DS I gained. So now I've got some energy and I'm less sleep-deprived and it just feels like it's time to start.

I got diagnosed with S.A.D. this past winter and it resulted in a 20 lb weight gain! I had 20 pounds i wanted to lose before the recent gain so now i'm up to 40! what's more important to me is my fitness level, because it completely plummeted. I used to take my dog out for a jog a few times a week and go to zumba class and take loong walks on the weekend (hours/miles!) with my DH, hike etc. but now, 20 minutes of zumba wears me out and running more than a few blocks leaves me gasping for air!
