Zuckerburg is a weanie. He doesn't want to take a position which would anger anybody, just so he can maximize his company's value. He apparently has none of his own. He has never done the right thing without a whole lot of pressure. he is a typical corp executive. so long as there is no law against behaving badly, if it makes money for the corporation, he will do it. this is precisely why we need regulations of business in a functioning economic system. the excesses of business will quickly overcome the benefits for the average person.

I can't find the article so I don't have the link to post but I read somewhere that some guy wanting to prove that even though Twitter started fact checking the asshole they still were not holding him to the same standards as the rest of its users. He created an account and basically just duplicated the same exact posts that the Impeached One did and it only took Twitter 3 days to suspend his account.

So trumps administration is a playing whack-a-mole with Twitter. Not like they anything else they should be spending their time on. Wonder how much we are paying the person creating the accounts

Twitter in the past said they wouldn't suspend DT's acct as long as he was president....but watch out as soon as he is voted out. He may blow a gasket then.

It's not somebody in the administration creating the accounts it is just an average Joe trying to prove that Twitter treats The Impeached One differently than average Americans. And he proved it.

So. I know we have talked about Trump not leaving the WH, etc. I still have hope that he will slurk away talking a big game, but no teeth.
But, I am trying to imagine election night. If it is pretty obvious, will he make a concession speech? What does that look like? Does he not, and we spend a week knowing what is going to happen, but waiting for it to be official. He doesn't need to make a concession speech, right? During that time, is he tweeting, or golfing or MIA?
I know this is day dreaming, as I am not convinced he will lose.

It isn't "official" until early January when Congress opens and certifies the Electoral College votes (cast in December). EDIT now that I am home: December 14, 2020—Meeting of Electors. The electors in each State meet to select the President and Vice President of the United States. January 6, 2021—Counting Electoral Votes in Congress. Congress meets in joint session to count the electoral votes (unless Congress passes a law to change the date). link

The thing that could threaten Biden's potential presidency -- and the ability of the country to move on from what will be one of the nastiest elections in modern history -- is if Trump simply refuses to admit he lost, never conceding that Biden is the fair-and-square president. Here's the real danger if Donald Trump loses the 2020 electio

A lot will depend on the media, especially Fox. I think that there will be a conscious decision by most to limit coverage, including Fox. One America News will stay supportive but isn't a strong enough presence to have a lot of effect. I see it become more marketing and less political quickly.
