I believe we will see Michelle Obama and maybe Barack out in the field campaigning for Biden. Michelle is well liked by Democrats and Independents, even when she wears sleeveless blouses.

She would, but I doubt she is interested.

She would, but I doubt she is interested. My thought too. She has probably had enough with campaigning on a regular basis when her husband ran for U.S. senator and president twice.

But once this virus is past us, Michelle can hostess some amazing fund raisers at their new place in Martha's Vineyard.
Isn't it like 27 acres?

she would make a good VP choice, too. I disagree. I don't see her as having the experience to be President. A novice was elected in 2016 and look what is going on in the country. I do think she will be a great asset to the Biden campaign.

Over Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer? Will admit I have done no homework on this but if you have and want to share, I would appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Klobuchar has a record for winning stateside elections with majority votes in red counties in her state. She’s a moderate. She had national name recognition now and did farely well as a newcomer to national politics. She is well known in that key area of the country that Hillary ignored. As far as I know her only baggage is that she is a tough boss. That’s all I’ve got.... Whither....I know nothing except her kerfuffle with Trump. Abrams... recent piece in Rolling Stone on her. Very impressive but too young and green for right now. Down the road? He’ll yes!

she would make a good VP choice, too. No. I think she's perfectly capable, but again, the polarization. Please, not another Obama. We need a boring middle of the road person.

The West Coast is Biden's. I think a choice from the Midwest would be better.

same kind of skills that Biden brings? She is much less politically experienced though. i would like to think that a sufficiently worldly grocery clerk could get elected president.
I know that many (most?) people don't think that way, but I do.

Could get elected? Maybe. Do the job well? That I don't think is likely.

My theory: Candidates tend to pick someone kinda opposite - those that have been in DC forever tend to pick a state politician. Those that are old and established pick someone young and energetic. If they are young and fresh, they bring on the wise old experienced owl. If they are a governor, they pick someone from DC. If that is true, Klobachar doesn't fit.

Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio etc. Shares the values of the voters in those key states.

I think the Bush's and Obama's have a good relationship. May not agree on a lot in politics, but likely agree that trump is off the rails!! That would make trumps head explode and maybe get him out of office!! I watched most of a video earlier today on FB, of Obama endorsing Biden for President. It was refreshing to watch and listen to a former President speak and talk like he had good sense. He was able to make his points without demeaning or belittling our current President, even though it was clear (at least to me) that when he spoke, some of it was with an unspoken “compared to...” referring to our current “leader”. It was a refreshing reminder TO ME of how I think leaders should conduct themselves period, but especially in times of crisis. Even when I disagree with their stance (as I did with George W. Bush after 9/11), I appreciate that past Presidents in my adult life have had the ability to make the presentation when they are speaking such that I can at least take them seriously enough to listen to what they have to say, and it’s on me to give it serious consideration and decide what I really think about what they said. I didn’t agree with a lot of what former President Bush said after 9/11, but despite the opinions I had formed of him before all that happened, I didn’t feel like he was a “bad” person and I still respected him enough as a man and as the POTUS to look to him for guidance and want to hear what he had to say. It was the same with President Obama when he was in office, he carried himself with dignity and grace. When he spoke, it was with characteristics befitting his position as a world leader, not antics I would expect of some random stranger I might run into on a street corner. And I could listen, and give serious thought to what he had to say, even if I ultimately disagreed. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same today, with the “leader” we have during this current crisis. I can’t even take him seriously, and it grates my nerves just trying to listen to him talk. That’s not how it should be, but I can’t seem to temper or get over my completely negative reaction to him.
