What are you doing to prevent the spread of this virus?

Fortunately retired. Have no need to leave the house which is fine with me. Now if the weather would cooperate, I could sit outside and enjoy spring. But no: periods of off-and-on rain scheduled for at least the next ten days.

I have been staying home, so far one grocery store and Walmart but home a week or more at a time and social distancing like at Walmart I only got a prescription then left.
Today I am going to a mall named Great Wall Mall, I hear they haven't got enough customers. They have live lobsters and crab so I will take them to ISO and have him put them in boiling water to get germs off them, they should be safe to eat after their hot bath, may get some clams too, steam clean them.
Friday we head for the ocean to dig razor clams for 4 days so I need to buy food again then again when I get home in 10 days. Then I will stay home a couple weeks.
I may take up washing my hands since it is very popular right now, might even use soap and hot water.

Supposed to get close to 80 this coming Thursday........and with that type temp this time of year, severe thunderstorms usually happened and by chance, severe thunderstorms are predicted Thursday! It will be as a friend of mine visiting me in the month of July once said, "It's hotter than the doorknobs of Hell here." The friend was a former Catholic priest so the reference was appropriate.

It's cold, wet, gloomy, and miserable out here. I so wish to see bright cheery sunshine out.
I just heard tonight, Indiana has had 6 deaths from the virus, this is totally new, last was 2.
Also at least 201 with 76 new, so its spreading here too now. Just waiting for the first one in our small town where we get groceries.

Today I had a tire going flat. I pulled up to the repair shop and called them instead of going in. Once the tech came out I kept 6 feet away during the entire time he worked on it. When he had the tire in the shop, I placed my credit card in the bed of the truck and had him take it from there. When it came back I had it placed in the bed of the truck again. I used sanitizer on it and my hands once I retrieved it.

Another thing: There are only two of us at work right now. My co-worker is being extremely careful. He has a wife who would likely not survive being infected. He lives very remotely. I live in the small local town which according to a health care worker has had an unreported but test confirmed case. We have divided the facility into two zones. We have agreed we will not go into the zone we aren't "assigned".

Pretty much staying home. When golfing we use separate carts and touch ends of golf clubs to finish. The ball washers, divot fillers and broken tee catchers as well as sand bunker rakes are gone. Pro shop uses sanitizer on the pen and cc when we are done. I have alcohol spray outside where I changed my shoes before I touched the front door. Then used a tissue to pick shoes up and put in closet. I sprayed the golf cart steering wheel.
We sit out and visit with the neighbors but keep 6 feet. Avoided a birthday party. H. said the grocer is sanitizing the carts before grocery shopping. He sanitized his hands after putting groceries in the car and before touching the steering wheel, etc. How is a house sanitized after Covid 19? A home spray service?

Yesterday I purchased gas, nothing else. I used my atm card, cleaned it with sanitizer put it in my pocket, cleaned my hands. Ran gas, put the nozzle back and used sanitizer, also on the door handle.
The lady past me had her sleeves wrapped around her hands. Then I noticed after touching everything, she was touching her face with her hands. That doesn't help much.
We quit eating out nor buy drinks. Everything comes from home. Hubs isn't as careful, but he is avoiding most places too. I'm going to ask him to use vinyl gloves when pumping gas. He is going to the pharmacy tomorrow to pick up our drugs. I have to go to the bank to leave the stuff for the Miller Trust and will put it in a plastic bag. I have to leave it at the drive up window, can't go in. Hope they get it ready in time. Have to mail it in the 26th.
I hate touching the mail.

I have to leave it at the drive up window, can't go in. Hope they get it ready in time. Have to mail it in the 26th. I hate touching the mail. I’ve only used Exxon gas for at least the last 20 years. Last year, I finally signed up for their rewards program (not the credit card, just the rewards), which eventually led to me downloading the app to make it easier to get the rewards. Before getting the app, I usually missed out on points out of sheer laziness to get the card out of my wallet and insert it before paying..... the few times I even thought about the card. Around the same time, I got with the times and set up Apple Pay on my phone. Then I discovered I could set the Exxon app up to use Apple Pay to pay for my gas. I’ve been using a card to “pay at the pump” since it first became available. My kids were young back then and I loved the convenience of not having to drag them inside the store to pay for gas when they were with me. I’ve been consistently paying through the app since I set it up, but these past couple of weeks, I’m especially pleased that I can pay for my gas without having to touch anything but my phone. I still have to touch the pump itself and select the grade of fuel, but the less I touch in public right now, the better. I have a tiny container of hand sanitizer I received as a giveaway at a health fair last fall. I’ve kept it in my car, and have been using it after I pump gas and every single time I get back in my car lately. It was a tiny bottle to start with, and it’s almost gone now. When I get home, I go straight to the guest bathroom (closest to the garage door entrance) and wash my hands thoroughly. Regardless of where I’ve been. No exceptions. Now I wish more places took Apple Pay so I can avoid all keypads and ink pens to sign.

From The Most Common Ways The Corona Virus is transmitted - MSN
"Aerosolized particles are not the same as respiratory droplets. They are much smaller, basically microscopic, said S. Wesley Long, medical director of diagnostic microbiology at Houston Methodist Hospital. (Fog is a good example of an aerosolized particle.)
Such particles linger in the air. “They can travel long distances and can be easily breathed into the lungs,” Long said. “Respiratory droplets tend to be about 20 times bigger, and travel around six feet or less before dropping to the ground.
