Also, no ticket refunds from SXSW It made me wonder if they are obligated to pay the scheduled performers.
I just looked at the ticket prices. Yikes! I would be loaded and would definitely never attend again. If a venue cancels I do expect a refund. I’ve had events canceled before and I’ve always received a refund or a voucher for a future event. If I paid by credit card I would try to fight the charges. They have pretty strict no refund policy so that probably wouldn’t work but I would try We got our non-refundable pre-paid hotel rooms refunded. Granted we have "status" with that chain, so I don't know if that is the privilege of being privileged, or the corporation is trying to be cool.

The NCAA college basketball tournaments will be held but the stadiums will be empty. Just the college team member families will be allowed in the stands.

that is not "we are keeping the money". that is "we are keeping the money until we hold it".
