Actually I thought Nancy having a temper tantrum was hilarious. Best laugh of the evening. Didn't phase me one way or the other. It was the high lite of the evening,, It was even better than all the Democrats sitting on their hands, with sour puss looks on their faces. It should have been called Democrats Comedy Hour, with as loud as I was laughing!!

... From what I understand, the ballots are counted based on what is marked. If nothing is marked, then it just gets skipped and not recognized. For example, if 500 people submitted their ballots, 100 people voted for Trump and the rest didn't vote at all... 100% for Trump. If 100 of the 400 remaining people voted for Weld... 50% Trump/50% Weld. I could be wrong though. What you would normally see is that the vote totals for different races on the ballot would show a significant difference if there was such a boycott. It would be clear what happened.

I have worked with people who have no control of their emotions. None of them will come close to being elected Speaker of the US House of Representative. I'm sure none of the people you work with will come close to being elected Speaker. What does that prove? One was elected President. ... There is a significantly different path to the White House than to the Speakership.

There is a significantly different path to the White House than to the Speakership. Look at who all the Republican members of Congress are currently loyal to. The Speaker is elected by all the same types of people, members of Congress who do what they are told by party leadership. But I fully expect Democrats to think Pelosi has no problem with controlling her emotions, just like so many Republicans think Trump has no problem with it. Denial is denial.

It takes people either stupid enough or spineless enough to select you. Are you saying you think Pelosi just pretends to be throwing tantrums as a conscious choice?

How many subsequent colleague elections has each won? Significantly different paths.

How many subsequent colleague elections has each won? Significantly different paths. I believe Trump won the general election in about 30 states. I'm guessing Pelosi has won about half that many? If you need further proof that people who can't control their emotions can be Speaker: Gingrich, Boehner. Seems you keep ducking the question though, do you think Pelosi acts the way she does on purpose as a conscious choice?

I think that Pelosi is a human being who has some control over her behavior but at times allows emotion to come through. You know, like most of us. I don't think she is abnormal.

She's not abnormal, there are tons of people who can't control their emotions and throw child-like tantrums consistently. She doesn't do it to the extent Trump does, but she's hardly a poster-child for decorum in public office. Can you picture Obama behaving the way Pelosi does?

To point out that someone isn't smart in a given area is personal? When teachers flunk students for giving wrong answers, is that personal too? I know, we're all supposed to tell everyone they are the best at everything!

To point out that someone isn't smart in a given area is personal? .. You changed the conversation from a discussion of the path to the White House and Speakership to a discuss of my intelligence. After I explained it to you multiple times while you kept repeating the same non-point, and after which you asked a question then whined when the answer was not what you wished it would have been. There's no "discussion" of your intelligence, I pointed out your inability to understand that the question you ask completely contradicted the point you were hoping to make is not my fault. Listen, I get it, when you're as overmatched in this as you are, you need to deflect and play victim. It's straight out of the Trump playbook.

Guess you need to keep it personally insulting. Aren't you and Trump just quite the victims anytime you're outmatched? I'm not sure how whining about someone pointing out your whining is helping though. I would suggest that if you don't like people pointing out your behaviors, the best answer might simply be to stop the behavior. That will almost certainly be more difficult than playing the perpetual victim though.

Trump's great gift is his ability to rob the moral capital of victimhood and lend it to the perpetrator.

Of course it was a tempter tantrum. This is one of the maddening things about being an Independent...watching both sides of the aisle each have someone who throws hissyfits, and neither side seeming to recognize it when they complain about the other. Watching Pelosi and Trump is like watching oversized toddlers throw fits while each of their parents mumbles under their breath about how horrible the other child behaves. Really? To me a temper tantrum implies/includes a show of uncontrolled anger. I didn't see any of that i think controlled rage is pretty helpful. it has served me well over the years.
showing some feeling in the face of outrage is not only human, but gives other humans something to identify with.

in other words, winning (1) state like OK will pretty much guarantee that you win (25).

'demographic linkage' - I like that. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/smile.gif) A little like genetic linkage but not quite. As for the temper tantrum - it is annoying that the House members spent 3 years either searching madly for an impeachable crime (D's) or playing defense (R's). And not doing the People's Work. Cost - 435 Representatives times $174,000 times 3 years - $227 million

It appears that GOP primary voters are deciding they are going to accept Trump's behavior.
Just like the dems in the House accepts Pelosi's behavior
lol. When beaten, go personal.
That's what you do to me

Woohoo .......... I'm the winner

Actually Pelosi only wins in her district of Calif ......... you know, San Francisco?
