Rain or shine, winter or summer, Montreal has festivals out the wazoo! Montreal's mesmerizing Festival of Lights returns on February 20 The Quartier des Spectacles is going to get a whole lot bigger, bolder, and brighter as the city’s Festival of Lights returns next month. Known officially as Montréal en Lumière, the outdoor site offers a multitude of spectacular lights, activities, and gourmet food to really show the winter darkness who’s boss. The festival primarily aims to give Montreal some much-need light during the dead of winter through dining events, live performances, free all-night activities, and innovative art installations. Local DJs, live bands, an illuminated Ferris wheel, and an incredible 360-foot ice slide take over the festival site as well as a two-city-block long zip line that allows festival-goers to zoom over the colourful site. dailyhive.com/montreal/montreal-en-lumiere-february-2020?utm_source=Daily+Hive+Newsletter&utm_campaign=249c309e90-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_01_31_07_46&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_117f3ac428-249c309e90-93892417

Beautiful .......... We don't have the extremes you have with daylight and darkness.
Here in AZ our shortest day in the winter is from sunrise at 7:33 am to sunset at 5:28 pm
Summer is the opposite. Sunrise about 5:30 am and sunset about 7:30 pm.
When we lived in Michigan the extremes were more pronounce but not to the extent you have.

Thankfully, there are warming stations if you get too cold. February can get REALLY cold.
