As trump is the only Republican candidate running for president, I don't expect to see Mitch McConnell (for example) reporting donations for the 4th quarter for his run for president, do you? So trump according to your link brought in 46 million during the fourth quarter. On the Democratic candidate side, between just three candidates, Sanders, Buttigieg, and Yang brought in a combined $75 million. Donations to Elizabeth Warren and the rest of the remaining candidates will only exceed the $75 million during the 4th quarter. Once the Democratic candidate is determined, said candidate's donations should be about the same as anything trump brings in during the same period. Bernie Sanders Says He Raised $34.5 Million in the Fourth Quarter

If you think Bernie (or any other runner) will turn money over to the nominee if it is not him, think again, and his followers will not support anyone else other than maybe Warren. Again, if Bloomberg does not buy the ads for whoever it is outside of the actual campaign ( because of money limits by individuals) that person is doomed. I am wondering if Bloomberg can run as an Independent if he loses the democratic race. I do not think he can because of the time limits involved.

You know you follow me because you are listed as one of five people who do it on my personal page! I thought I gave a pretty good argument on what happens with the campaign money after the nomination. Evidently it did not hit your standards......but you also failed to bother refuting it, which is your usual response to my comments.

There are a bunch of us democrats out there who haven't given any Dem candidate anything yet, but plan on opening the wallet later. I'm waiting to see who is the nominee and then I'll send some cash.

Ahh, the spelling expert makes a comeback against a post she has no response to come back with! Well, NBC is either worried they are backing the wrong horse or they are just trying to rally the democrats? Either way, NBC and other media cowards are done. www.msn.com/en-us/news/elections-2020/analysis-democrats-2020-split-risks-handing-trump-a-big-advantage/ar-BBYxvha?li=BBnb7Kz

I have difficulty taking anyone seriously who doesn't even have a firm grasp on their mother tongue...things which they learned in grade school. NBC is "done"? Do you have anything link to that? Just because Trump says the "fake media is done" doesn't make so. He lies.

A year ago I thought there was no way that Trump would win re-election, now I think I think the odds are in his favor...unless the stock market/economy crashes.

I question the value of a large advertising budget for the 2020 Presidential general election. What tone will ads take that will move voters to 1) vote and 2) support any particular candidate? If the economy stays good and President Trump stays on that topic, maybe that would be valuable. I think it will be tricky for any Democrat to push a positive tone.

Three years ago Tennesser and I had a discussion after the Inaugeration on how long Trump would be in office and whether he would survive four years in office, or be gone by two years or less.... Although we are three weeks from a three year mark, looks like he makes it for a total of eight years!

Yes, the day that Michelle Obama said, when they go low, we go high (might be paraphrasing there) are long gone.

LOL, the ad banner at the top of this thread is "Thank President Obama for fighting to defeat Trump in 2020". Note they leave off the title of "President" in front of Trump's name..... Wonder how many posters will click on the ad bait and send money

Do you mean like, until they eliminate it down to say, one candidate? By November? Fingers crossed. Here's hoping!

that makes zero sense for several important reasons.
until the GE, the Democrats are not running against Trump, VB. that is the main one.
