More than likely, this photo was taken while fighting a training fire. Real bldgs and structures are used all the time, for training purposes.
I find it extremely hard to believe that all those firefighters and their superiors, would ignore an actual burning bldg, to take a picture.
I'm calling BS on this one. Someone is stirring the pot!

From the linked article: "Detroit Fire confirmed that the house seen ablaze in the photo was vacant at the time, as was the building next to it, according to the outlet."

The news also indicated last night that the officer in charge determined that the house was structurally unsafe to enter. So the firefighters on the scene with nothing to do other than watch it burn decided to take a group photo as a retirement present for their Chief.
Seems like a non-story to me.
