I don't want to brag or anything, but it only took me three months to drop off my Goodwill stuff. But it's done, and I can start a new pile. Iggy, DH is currently building our deck; I can't wait to add stuff to it when it's finished. (Or I should say he's trying to build it; it seems lumber is the new Covid toilet paper, in our area at least. )

LOL, your post made me smile, megaptera. There are many things that have been on my procrastination list for months, if not years. When I finally get to them, and remember to time them, some take mere minutes. Ugh, sorry to hear about the lumber. Guess we'll add that along with coins.

Well, I'm feeling better today. Between yesterday and this am I managed to clean the downstairs rooms. I plan to clean the entry hall and the stairs tomorrow morning. The rest of the condo will have to wait till next weekend, when I plan to add one room per week to get cleaned. It does feel good to accomplish something. Still very stressed and lost, but feeling a little better. I will keep trying and will keep posting.

Finally got my laundry done this morning! I only really like to go to the laundry mat when it's early morning (opens at 7:30a) and quiet. Today as I was waiting for everything to dry a woman let her young daughters run up and down the room, shrieking and screaming. UGH. Now comes the multi-day challenge of putting all my laundry away!

My business had it's "grand opening" on friday, and I am already bombarded with custom tee orders! I am so excited! Before I went to sleep last night, I grabbed the planner I bought specifically for this business, and ORGANIZED my week, so that I can accomplish everything without being chained to my crafting corner. A lot of my boutique items sold as well, so I have packaged those up (including the ones shipping) and arranged meets with the buyers. As far as this week's home to do list: Clean the driveway area Making grooming appt for WinnieRepack the yard sale items I have left from selling on FB and put the totes back in the garage Mow/Weedeat Tidy up garage Balance checkbook & pay bills

Waiting for inspiration, or my second wind, to slap me so I will start moving my office down here. I figure I can take all of DH's "good" stuff out and put it upstairs to sort and figure out how to list for selling. This way, I'm down here and I have the big tv here. I have other stuff I could be doing too but really no interest. I have a load of stuff set aside to donate to a group of parents of special needs kids that are going to be holding a yard sale next month.
I'm also waiting for the vet to call me with the results of my cat's bloodwork. She either has thyroid or kidney issues. High blood pressure too. I told them that might be from the chase to get her stuffed into the carrier. Unfortunately they couldn't check her pee because she let that loose all over me and the room when I snagged her. Brat. She weighs 5 freakin' pounds.

Only 5 pounds? Is she skin and bones?
Lucy peed in the carrier on the way home from the vet. It was a soft sided carrier, so it got on the car seat.

She's a tortoiseshell so it's kind of hard to tell with her coloring. Plus she hates being held. I can pet her maybe once a week but that's about it. I actually made the appt. because she will NOT. SHUT. UP! with whining for food when I'm home. I did wonder if maybe she's missing DH because he was always home and would give her treats. I don't know.

Good morning all. It has been a while since I logged in to update. Did a lot of reading of the thread and keeping up with you that way.
I have been keeping up with the daily chore including laundry and dishes. Plus doing some beading or other crafts most days. Continuing to update the Etsy shop on even numbered days but will soon need to be creative as I am beginning to see that the items I have made that I can sell online are becoming limited. Currently working on a few kits that I purchased and that I will keep those two items for myself.
Hugs to all that need them. Stay safe all!

Well I have a Public Service Announcement for joint homeowners ---
It has now been confirmed that while K passed over 5 years ago her part of the estate never went into probate. Which is eh, my state is a community property state but it has now become a issue due to Dad's passing. He never changed the title on the house to just his name and so it will end up slowing things down when we actually sell the property. Luckily we found this out early and are working on it but it can mess and delay a already emotion filled or business minded decision.
So please, if you have a spouse/joint title holder note or write down that if one of you passes the other should get a title change on their residence to make it easier in the future if selling the house comes into play. If this is a sibling thing it should probably involve a will and lawyers to make sure it's valid in your area.

The entryway and bedroom walls are FINALLY cleaned and primed. I will roll on the first layer in the bedroom tonight if the trim section dries in time. So close to being able to start on the office, get those shelves installed and be one step closer to sanity.
Today I went to the chiropractor because my hip has been so painful lately. It’s really impacting my ability to get up on a ladder.
Also put down my deposit for the fence of my dreams. Once we get materials and permit approval it can go up in about 3 days. I hope to stay close to home this weekend and finally finish mowing the front yard where the grass is growing out of control. Then it’ll be time to work on the laundry room floor some more.
When it’s nice outside, and I’m not getting eaten alive by mosquitos, I spend 20-30 min at a time scraping off the old, bad paint on the house exterior. It is my goal to have boards replaced before end of October so I can paint at least the back first floor before the end of the year. That might be wildly optimistic but I’m hopeful. I’ve been removing old wires, screws and nailing in the loose nails as I go.
ETA: I rolled on the rest of the paint in the bedroom but will need another gallon to finish (it’s a dark color and huge room). Drying it out now before bed and planning a trip to the paint store Sunday.
I did get a half dozen boxes moved upstairs today - all boxes I repacked which will go in the “kids room” I’m putting together for my niece and nephew. That space hasn’t even been cleaned out yet so it is many months away from being ready.

I've been spending the last week (and the next week) helping DD34 move from her house that she's selling post-divorce to an apartment. It's an incredible amount of work. Next up is on Monday, having furniture and boxes moved from the house to a storage unit, then the following week from the unit to an apartment. We're hoping she gets a two-bedroom apartment she really liked but hasn't heard from the manager yet and knows there is a prior applicant. In the meantime she is approved for a one-bedroom apartment, so she'll have something.
Today to tackle the basement and garage, tomorrow finishing the small stuff from the rest of the house. I'm exhausted and I've got to clean my house so she'll have a place to stay with her 3 cats for the week of transition. House sale closes the 28th.

My mood has considerably improved lately. Days have been gorgeous around here, the weather affects my mood a lot. My house is cleaner, and it makes me feel accomplished. Next week I'll start swimming at the YMCA. Enjoying warm weather and swimming are two of my favorite things.
For this weekend, I'm going to a friend's house for a barbecue today. Tomorrow was supposed to rain and I planned to go into the office to do some stuff while it's quiet, but now looks like it'll be another beautiful day. No way I'll be sitting in a windowless office for hours.
Tomorrow I'll clean the kitchen again, since it's the area that I use more, and start tackling the upstairs. The stairs, the distribution hall and the second bedroom. I will bring the new microwave from the garage and install it in the kitchen.
Will leave my bedroom and the upstairs bathroom for the following week.
There's a ton of things I need to do and organize besides the house, but the house and swimming are a good starting point. Once I've tackled that I'll start making time for other important things like CPE credits, meditation, taking better care of myself, etc.

I'm taking a break from demolishing the closet in DD's old room. DH is currently up there cursing up a storm. The woodwork is VERY solid and hard to remove. And now he has to take down the old lath. I'm not allowed to use power tools. With good reason.
We need to figure out how much space we have for the built ins. And we're having a "lively" discussion about drawers and shelves and doors etc. He has completely unrealistic expectations about what this is going to look like. And how much it's going to cost. I WILL get my way...it's just going to take some time to get DH to come around to my way of thinking.
I'm not spending all this time pulling horsehair plaster off the walls to have some hack job replacement. I spent a fair amount of time removing nails from some of the old wood. It's really solid stuff and we may be able to reuse some of the moulding.
Break is over...back to work!

wait, you're letting the engineer use power tools?? 😳😂😜 I wish I'd known, I was just over there dropping off the vacuum i borrowed from my parents.
I had decided I was donating any unopened food on my way out of my short term rental, and starting fresh in my new house. well, last night I saw a FB post from a HS friend that lives up near the NH line. her small church has a small POD set up as a Give-or-Take food pantry in their parking lot, and they are a little light in a few categories - that I knew I had in my stash ready to go. so I packed up the pups and we went for a drive to explore central MA. I added some canned soups with a Walmart run this morning to bulk up what I already had, and I decluttered two large reusable shopping bags full of pasta, soups, canned tomatoes, and goldfish crackers (for the soups!). like I said, it was getting donated anyway, but it is nice to be able to fill a specific current need. 🙂

I'm so sorry Empress. Hugs Finnime to you and your DD. Divorce is hard. I hope she gets the 2BR.
Things are moving along Ava and Startsmart! Congrats on the windows TheO!
Yay for the new business Nikiz! I'm sorry I'm sure I've forgotten to mention a lot of you.
We got back tonight. We had a great time but after 3 weeks I was ready to get home. I go back to Job 1 on Monday. I'm dreading being around all those young adults with Covid so much worse here. All my classes are face-to-face (although some of my foreign students may be remote). I unpacked all my things and the kitchen/household stuff and started the third and last load of laundry.
Tomorrow I need to: - finish putting away the laundry - water the inside plants
- prep for school - put the new sheets and "new" night tables in the guest room
- mend my beach towel
- clean out my handbag
It's so good to be back (both home and here)! ETA: In the end DS1/DDIL/E decided to move back to the UK. Much closer than MA! DS1 got a great job, plus he'll be travelling here for work! DS3 is back home and looking for his first job, ideally in the UK ... really not easy these days, poor kid.

Since you all already know I'm crazy, it's nearly 1 am here, and I just finished putting the "new" night tables (the ones DH and I (re)built from the 2 used ones I bought) and new sheets in the guest room. The room looks great, I'm so pleased!!! In the end it cost 40e for 4 Ikea totes to empty the dresser (which was full of stamps), 20e for 2 used Ikea night tables (which DH and I rebuilt to make them smaller), and 43e for new sheets (30% off). So 103e (about $113) later, the room looks great. However, the bed is VERY low (old wooden futon base from Ikea). I would prefer a higher base, but it's DS1's old bed from his basement bedroom. If DS1 agrees, I'll try to find a used one that's higher. DH says we can't use "feet" or "risers" with that base, but I'm not convinced. It's not a priority now though, I'll worry about that next time DS1 comes back.
TheO thanks yes we did relax.
