I keep waiting to take pictures of when everything is cleaned up, but apparently that’s not going to happen. So here’s the disaster that is my house right now. chiver78 , I intentionally flipped the dining table with the sitting area when we moved in.

Knee Deep in Water Chloe -- Love the Snow people who joined you at the table. Beautiful. chiver78 -- I think that moving the sectional to the basement will give you more space upstairs to place the table and make the space more adaptable to your needs. debthaven -- Glad you had the chance to visit with the family. Enjoy your time off. Also happy that your schedule was changed for the better. TheOtherMe -- Conversations with the baby are good vibes and will make for a joyful reunion in the hopefully near future. startsmart -- Sorry that you will be without wheels for a bit but I am sure that you will be able to accomplish lots of things during that time. Iggy aka IG -- Have you started taking breaks during your lunch time? I use my phone to remind me of some things on a daily basis. You might want to do something similar until the habit is formed. Hope all of you had a great Christmas. Posting this before I lose it.

I have been keeping busy but also been wasting some time just watching things online. I have been doing some routine things around the house but the house will not be back in order until after January 6th. That is when I start taking down the Christmas items. It will probably take me several days to get things put back into place.
I did cash in the points for cash for one of the other credit cards but the third one would not let me do enough to use it up. Figured that I got more cash back for credit card purchases than I did in some of the accounts I have with interest rates so low right now.
I am caught up on laundry and dishes at the moment and the house is in pretty good shape at the moment. I have started going though things again and adding things to the donation boxes/bags. Pickup is scheduled for tomorrow but Ie won't update my numbers until after the pickup.
Today I tried to dismantle as much as I could of an old dead computer. Pulled out circuit boards when I could, destroyed others that wouldn't budge, cut wires, broke pieces, etc. Figured that since I couldn't use it I didn't want anyone to find it who might be able to refigure it to get any of my info. It kept giving me fatal error messages but I wanted any information in it to be safe so I destroyed it. I will be getting rid of its shell soon.
To Do List:
*Donation pickup Tuesday 12/29 *Need to fill out, scan and email registration for the classes I plan to take in the spring. Some of these are exercise and others are craft. All will be virtual and open to anyone. PM me if you want info about these -- I know in the fall there were over 75 classes. Classes meet weekly and for one fee you can take as many as you want. *Back up laptop *Work on 2021 spreadsheet *Take things out of car in preparation for putting it into the shop next week. Repair when someone backed into me. Need to remove several umbrellas, face masks. etc. *Continue to go through drawers in BR and dispose of items. *Continue work on beading project. *Update inventory of items I have for craft shows/Etsy

Well, $800 got decluttered out of my pocketbook...on to my credit card, anyway. Plumbing repair resulted in more pipes going by the wayside and the HVAC repair resulted in a very dirty filter and an overheated part getting swapped out. Knee Deep in Water Chloe, I love that wall of pictures you've got.

Wow that's a lot of shredding!
I spoke to the mechanic today about my truck and it turns out he didn't drive it far enough to see the problem with acceleration (just the problem with the brakes/wheels) so I walked over and we went for a test drive aka 4 block radius and THERE WE GO yep, it also has a transmission issue. So he's going to look into that this week so I have the full picture of what's wrong and the cost to fix it all and can make a decision about repairs or scraping it out and buying something new.
Whew. I am not really looking forward to all of this but it's adulting and I have to do it.
Also, I could use any spare juju for client work to pay for a new truck because I've had 3 promising client leads and a possible 4th who reached out today. If I can close all of this new business (which I have space for right now) then the financial question will be much easier to figure out.

So here's the list I made in August 2019 and made absolutely no progress on. 1. Install closet organizer 2. Paint den (these 2 are left over from the last list) 3. Install new backsplash in kitchen. 4. Refinish my fridge with stainless steel contact paper. 5. Paint kitchen. (Not as big a job as it sounds, I have a small kitchen without much bare wall space) 6. Paint living room, entrance and hallway) 7. Paint my bedroom. Number 8 is more of a wish list item. If I can get vinyl planking at the right price I would like to replace all the laminate in my house. So I got the kitchen and living room, entrance and hallway painted. The rest gets bumped to my 2021 list 😑

Just a quick drive by posting. I logged in to update my numbers. 180 items left my house this morning. I also manage to get the class registration emailed this morning. Spring classes are all Zoom. Got the trash and recycling out this afternoon -- sometimes I don't have enough to put out in the recycling.
Checked with the gym about my membership and then sent a fax to my doctor asking her to inform the gym that she advised me to avoid indoor exercise. Not sure if she will but I figured it was worth the try. I have been doing some walking and exercise with YouTube videos and online classes but not going where people are. I don't plan to return to the gym until I have had both doses of the vaccine and then some.

I "finished" painting the laundry room today which is as good as it'll get without hiring someone 7' tall to reach into the narrow corner. Once I add some shelving it should be hard to see the missed spots.
I've also done another coat in the kitchen on the walls and next will be working my way around the tops of the cabinets to clean and prime. The top of the cabinets are SO dusty and gross.

I washed my bedding today and also cleaned up another small space.
I emptied more cardboard boxes, broke them down and threw away all of the filler material. Now my patio is clean. I have another load of laundry running now.

I put up the full* 8' picket fence panels and posts on the FB yard sale site, for $150. there are 7 panels of unfinished unknown wood, ~34" if sunk to thr bottom horizontal board. 🤷♀️. so annoyed, though. I thought I was underpriced (but I want it gone) bc I have no clue what the materials are, they have drill holes, whatever. apparently I should have asked for way more, but whatever at this point. I got hung up bc the first person to say 'interested' still hasn't actually answered my repeated requests for response se bc my inbox was blowing up - apparently I should have asked for more.
duly noted, "quick sale" needs to be in posts. current dude asked til the am. he flakes, quick sale is getting edited into the listing.

It's all black frames and all flush edges except for that part you can see that angles with the couch.

I hate Facebook yard sales. I advertised a physical sale with times on there. Included a few pics. Hello, just because you ask a few questions, doesn't mean you get dibs! I'm not preventing a person with cash in hand from buying something you might or might not be interested in.

I put right in the ad, post on this listing, don't PM me, I'm not answering PMs. and still, I have some inbox cleaning to do. 🙄 I'm hoping the guy can actually get here today, that would be great. I'd love to be able to get someone out to do the fall cleanup that got blown off last month. the company that winterized my sprinkler system apparently does fall cleanups, too. going to give them a call and see if they are still doing them now that the snow has melted. I don't have a hedge trimmer to cut down the sea grass, that alone is a must-do if I want them to grow right next spring.

Liz- I remember when I was giving away a plastic organizer thing on a Facebook group and after the person picked it up others were scolding me for not having one for them too because “I really needed this!”
These were grown women btw and I just could not comprehend the selfish entitlement!

Slowly making progress on decluttering. Yesterday I emptied a small file cabinet; most of the stuff in it was outdated junk and I found a place for the important papers in the file drawer in the desk. Then I moved the lingerie chest that my late DH made in by the desk to hold extra paper, etc. and the printer. The small file cabinet will go to DS1. I've got a way to go but am making progress. I also scheduled the Salvation Army to pick up some things in January; hoping the deadline will inspire me to get it done!

When I either sell of give things away, I tell them to PM me for my address and that I will not deliver. I totally ignore the ones that say I am very, very interested. I won't put my address in a Freecycle or garage sale group.

Last night I went through all of our bathroom drawers and the wall cabinet to purge and clean up. I tossed anything old or expired, pulled out some makeup I never used that I think my niece would like (she's 12 and ALL about makeup tutorials on youtube lol), and put everything back in an orderly manner. Now that the storage areas in the room are neat and organized, it's ready for it's new year deep clean.

Until today, I hadn't gone anywhere since last Tuesday. I cannot fathom how my fellow Earthlings are handling SAH orders. I mean, not peopling for a few planned days I get, but jeez... The good news is the dishes have been caught up, had time to exercise, and I spent some leisurely time in my home office.
moneysquirrel, I haven't yet had to schedule lunches away from my desk as I haven't been here. The plan is to put away Christmas decorations, etc. this upcoming weekend. Happy New Year, everyone. See you in the new thread!

fence panels were picked up this afternoon, $150 check has already been deposited, and the irrigation company is coming back Monday to do the yard cleanup.
I'm hoping to have the dining room set assembled upstairs in the next day or so. table top is still in the basement. I think this layout is going to work nicely.
