October Update:
Checking/Savings: $151k
House: $428k
Retirement: $1.360M
Brokerage: $4.3k
529s: $43.7k
Total NW: $1,986,859
As usual, the list above excludes our cars, which are worth around $30k combined, but I leave them out because we're unlikely to sell, and need them to get to/from work, kids schools, etc. in the land of suburbia.
We are down about 0.46% since September, due to the market.

Update as of Dec 1
Roth: $142,005.99 TIRA: $38,989.18 457: $121,644.63 Taxable: $56,361.51 Total: $359,001.31
up over $60k from a year ago. Gains are actually greater than contributions! I'm pretty sure the 457 will get bigger than the Roth in 2021 due to contribution limits, even though I've been contributing to the Roth for more than 20 years and only started contributing to the 457 in 2014.

So, my mortgage hasn't really changed at all since end of August due to the closing costs from the refinance, so that's a little depressing. These numbers are all from 12/1.

Total Debt $92,330
Cash and Savings - $61,468 529s - $61,683 Retirement - $613,471 House - $300,000
Total Assets $1,040,592
Net Worth $948,262 (increase of $40,862 since 8/26/20)

Happy and prosperous New Year everyone!!
End of year accounting, and feel like I'm ringing in the new year on a fantastic financial footing. Will try to extend that to other areas in life in 2021.
September 28 November 4 November 24 December 31 Roths 130,568.03 138,188.33 150,872.28 169,155.11 401k and Rollovers 995,183.56 1,016,815.58 1,122,928.04 1,287,553.45 Other: EF, ESOP, HSA 45,291.93 49,249.66 53,084.56 44,358.38
Total Liquid 1,171,043.52 1,204,253.57 1,326,884.88 1,501,066.94
Feel very blessed and very vulnerable! My investiment in Tesla was just a godsend and so grateful, not even sure how it came to be. Now about 1/3 of my retirements is in Tesla, so that is where the vulnerability pops up. I've thought it through and plan to stick with it for now.
All other accounts are of course doing very well also, although Tesla is definitely what is putting me in a different category right now. These are numbers a person could actual retire on, so there is that. Definitely messing with my head a bit, but maybe in a good way.
With the overall stock markey hitting so well - hoping you all are having good numbers to post for quarterly updates!

Wow, that is fantastic Rukh! I regret the day I did NOT buy Tesla. My sister drives one and has said to all, invest!

Wow, that is fantastic Rukh! I regret the day I did NOT buy Tesla. My sister drives one and has said to all, invest! It's grown so fast, I'm not sure if investing now would be a good idea or not. I am no genious, so maybe now is a solid time to invest. I originally wanted to invest in spacex, cause scifi nerd and all. But you can't invest in spaceX, and this was the nearest thing to my mind. If you were interested, you could start slowly and just pick up a few here and there? Build up over time?

The retirement savings is pretty much at the mercy of the market, but the thing I'm most proud of for 2020 is over 18K of debt paid down. Coming in for a close second is having a year of DS's college taken care of with no hit to the 529. In fact it's UP 5K from January. Financially 2020 was a winner for me.

I ended 2020 sick and started a new job this week. On boarding at a new job right now has been a lot. I've spent most of my days in online meetings, and so haven't really been online doing personal stuff. But C and I were talking about my retirement plan options in the new job tonight, so I finally got in and updated the net worth numbers. In just the last quarter, our net worth has increased almost $110k. We're now at a net worth of over $500k and assets of just under $1.1million, which is exciting to me.
Age: Shanendoah- 45; C-46 Income: ~$124k/yr
Mortgage: $518,802 Car Note: 35,600 Debts Total: $554,402
Savings: $11,281 S Retirement Accounts: $261,113 C Retirement Accounts: $34,724 House: $759,403 Timeshare: $1,500 Car: $30,000 Assets Total: $1,098,021
Net Worth: $543,619 Previous : $435,538 Change: $108,081

Update for end of 2020
Bank Accts: 22,500
Retirement Accts: 228,800 C&J $: 22,100
Real Estate: 620,000
Cars: 35,000
Assets: $928.4K
Mortgage: $93,886 HELOC: $15,000
Liabilities: $108.9K
NetW: $819.5K (up $18K in 4 months, up $45K in 2020)
ETA: We borrowed against the HELOC to put our rental house in shape to sell. I think the taxes on that sale could knock down our NW.
