Ok, it's April 7 and I may be just a little cranky but.........
The ignorance that people have when it comes to their taxes still amaze me. I know after 20 years it shouldn't but it does.
I was talking to a new client who of course can't find a copy of her 2009 tax return. She was asking why I needed it anyway. So as I was giving her some reasons of why, when I got to " and I would need to know what your tax liability was in '09" she butted in with "Oh, I didn't have one, I got a refund." I swear, If I had a nickle for every time I heard that I would have a BIG pile of change. LOL
I truly believe if more people understood how much they actually do pay in taxes to our government we'd have a revolution!!

What I don't understand is how some who don't pay any taxes get refunds. Oh those lovely credits........... |

Credits for what? If you don't pay taxes, why do you get credits? Bet ya can't figure, I don't do my own taxes.  Because Congress set up this system of national welfare. |
