Long ARCB (ArcBest Corp. - Trucking)

The chart with weekly bars still looks OK. schrts.co/sbWkxIRs The small and midcap stocks etf IWM fell below support weeks ago. The etf for large caps SPY and Nasdaq 100 QQQ don't look very good either. If this is a bag week for those indexes I will likely unload some positions and this week's pick ARCB might be one I decide to unload.

ModE96 leads the way after day two. clarkrl2 is second and kadee74 third. Value Buy also has the benchmark bested. My numbers are in line with architecto25's except Yahoo reported the open and close for UIMCY as 7.53 and 7.54 on Monday. Sometimes they do report fractions of cents but evidently they don't on UIMCY.

Monday I cried in my beer over a lousy $1.60 increase in my pick's opening pricing.

Then I looked at Mod's pick.

It opened UP about $10 or so.......

VB………...EL reported earnings early on Monday and beat all expectations, so it had a good jump to start.  Thought early I was shafted by the open price jump, but in afternoon the price made a nice increase.  Jim Cramer last night on Mad Money gave it some praise, so that may help keep price going up.

Today was an interesting day. Market stayed strong almost the entire day.
Of course the ten year fell for a few trades below the 2 year bond, but market did not fall apart. Waiting to see if we sell off tomorrow due to the panic of crossing that issue again.
Major retailers reported today and basicly most had great numbers and say the consumer is in good shape dispelling the theory of consumer cofidence falling off from recession fears

Weii, Trump's done it again.  Just can't do anything but screw up the markets these days.  Things are beginning to backfire on his trade wars that he was so sure he could win.  We need active TRADE, not a TRADE WAR, to keep the economy humming along nicely.  Outlook getting bleak. .

ModE96, I admit it was a frustrating day

I was trying to come up with a pick next week and post it here, as I am leaving in a few hours for camp and will be out of internet range until Monday afternoon. I had a couple of potential picks checked out, but both have too much of a tie in business import/exports with China, and today put a cabash with them even though both were down quite a bit today, and you never know what happens between now and Monday morning. I will stick with an American food producer.

The worst that can happen ( I hope) is my horse gets stuck in broken glass containers of jelly and jam if they go to heck next week.
