How in the world is Indiana number 1 in infrastructure? I 70 east of Indi is awful. I suppose because we have I 69, its not finished, contractor went bankrupt. I 70 east and west, 41 N and S, can get out of here quick! Great lake access and the Ohio river south, only think I can think of. Quality of life is low and education is sliding badly.

I caught that too. Have to admit this Governor has made road construction/repair a priority. I 65 is in the best shape since it was built. I guess ports at the north and south end of the state do not hurt, and Indianapolis pretty much gets any infrastructure they want from the Legislature.

Our local roads are pretty good. I don't know how the county manages to do it, but we have some really budget conscious and frugal guys on the county commissioners. Several are friends of hubs and farmers, hubs grew up with, we think they are doing a good job. We have both dems and repubs. Our county needs more jobs but our people are doing what they can with what they have. Our county seat is looking good, our mayor and others are getting every grant they can get their hands on and really doing work that needs done. So there are some good things, but if infrastructure is number 1 our country is in big trouble.
