wouldn't it be great if there were a comprehensive commission to study the problem?
except, of course, the NRA would never have that.
see the problem?
What would the study involve?
a comprehensive study would look at all variables, and compare the variables looking for solutions. the variables would include a great many things, OC.
if you want my opinion, we are dealing with something OTHER than guns in the US. even that ultra-liberal MICHAEL MOORE agrees with me on this. there is a mild correlation between number of guns and gun crimes- nothing more. it does NOT explain why we have 10x the violent crime (and suicide) rate of some other countries with similar rates of gun ownership.

It is probably because we have to work 80 hours per week, 52 weeks a year just to get a jar of peanut butter.

I would love to be wrong. but if it IS cultural, cultures can be changed.

I will also point out, Since I get criticized over my support of the NRA, and support of the Second Amendment. The amount of howling over the change in Abortion Rights from some of the States, the infringing on women's Rights.. So, what is the difference between my supporting my Rights on the Second Amendment, not wanting to give up any ground, so to speak,, And your support of Roe Vs Wade, some one taking away your Rights? I am betting you wish that you had an organization as strong as the NRA.
If there ever was a post that hits the nail square on the head !

in the US it all comes down to $. and that means that policy is set by the elite. so, sure, those of us that are social advocates wish that it were a level playing field. who wouldn't? but there is no way to make that happen without getting $$ out of politics. and I don't see any way to make that happen, as of today. so, "we" are going to have to do it $28 at a time. and that will be very difficult.

Today I got the run down of Mike Adam's website calling David Hogg the next Hitler and whatever. As if watching your friends get shot and die isn't bad enough for a teenager.

The little fuck head did not watch any of his friends get shot, He was hiding in a closet in another building, Yea, hearing shots long after the shooting was over.
