Former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon said this week that if President Trump is reelected in 2020, the country is going to get “pure Trump off the chain.”
In comments to Politico, published in Playbook on Thursday, Bannon said that the president’s second term would be “four years of Donald Trump in payback mode.”
link I don't see this as a good thing.

I see trump's current actions are in payback mode. I imagine it will only get worse with a second term as he cannot run for a third term and has nothing to lose.

Yep I totally agree, too. In 2016 some people had hope that a businessman would be just what we needed to improve the economy, come up with a great and cheap healthcare system, reduce the national deficit, and spend some money on our critical infrastructure. To be honest, I had hopes that he would put down his phone and become presidential once he won. Sad.
I hope going into 2020, those hopeful people now have their eyes wide open and understand that Trump is only ever interested in what benefits Trump - and yes, if he wins again, he won't even have to pretend he wants things like a cheap and beautiful healthcare system, a bunch of money for infrastructure repair (better to just sell off bridges and the highway system to someone who will operate them as toll systems), or a middle class tax cut. He can spend all his time golfing with his buddies and destroying the people and agencies that he hates the most.

link I don't see this as a good thing. I see it as an excellent thing, considering Ruth Bader's age and recent cancer surgery. No small thing with the booming economy either. He's got my vote ! Keeping America Great.

I think Trump is doing doing those things, plus much more - the Libs simply don't recognize it when they see it. Eg, how much more 'improvement' does the economy need, it is the best that it has ever been? As for the deficit, he invested some money upfront that is putting deficit reduction in place in the out-years. (that add to the GDP - that is where tax revenue come from - and reduces debt). Libs only do static analysis, they don't allow dynamic analysis to get to the Media). So far, most of Trump's efforts have been deflected by congressional Dems & Media - healthcare, the Tax Bill (the pejorative "only for the rich" added by Dem Media), and so on. I think some Payback in his second term is in order, I'm for it.

Fool me once (Reagan), shame on you. Fool me twice (Bush), shame on me. Try to fool us three times (Trump)? Fuck you. linkExactly right. It has long been proven that tax cuts do not pay for themselves. At best there is a small increase in GDP, but even that is to an extent dependent on who receives the tax cuts. For cuts to be stimulative, they have to go to people who will SPEND THE MONEY which means middle and lower-middle classes. If you don't want to give tax cuts to those groups, fine, but don't try to make a "grow the economy" argument to justify them. Either way, a tax cut should not have been passed if it would expand the deficit or the debt. Deficit spending is appropriate at ONLY two times: During recession when the consumer economy either cannot or will not spend, and during war when, if you are going to be in it, you damn well better be in it to win. Deficit spending during times of peace and growth is unconscionable. Far better at such a time to raise taxes to pay down the debt. The Reagan tax cuts were a lie. The Bush tax cuts were unbelievably stupid. The Trump tax cuts should be considered treasonous. F*** all three of those idiots.

I think Trump is doing doing those things, ... "... (D)oing those things"? Still, it’s not clear whether the administration will move forward to publicly announce a new plan of its own, or wait for Democrats in Congress to bring their own infrastructure proposal out first. link We aren't that fucking stupid.

Take a look at your charts, the ones that show that the lower quintiles got low tax breaks. Keep in mind that the bottom 50% of earners don't pay federal income tax - so of course they don't get breaks. OTOH they actually small breaks - eg, a $2000 credit for every child. How do you know the tax cut won't pay for itself? (It takes about 8 years to integrate thru the system.) Keep in mind that the govt does not accept dynamic math projections, they dissallow them. That makes it a certainty that govt Office projections will be negative on future growth - ie, all capitalist or free-market math, by definition, will point downward.

Won't be able to look at the tax cuts for anyone below the rich. They got them permanently, everyone else got them for what 5 or 4 years? And they weren't really cuts, just changed the w-4 withholding tables to put more in each check, then at year end they got either less of a refund or had to pay taxes. So yeah, look who won again at the countries expense.

I think Trump is doing a great job, I can not wait for him to put this thing into overdrive, after he is elected for a second term! The only one that would have stood a chance against Trump, has touchie, feelied, his way out! I do like the take no prisoner approach.

Ok, so you're in the 'trickle down' camp, where it's ok to funnel the bulk of the wealth into the 10%, as long as you let a little escape down to the masses, in this case, in the form of a 2000 dollar tax credit for each kid. Everything about this tax grab was designed to primarily benefit the wealthy - they rammed it through as quickly as possible so the ones getting screwed wouldn't have time to realize how badly screwed they would be.
fortune.com/2017/11/03/trump-gop-tax-plan-cuts-2017/
Answer this - the US tops the world in income disparity - we get 80 on a scale of 100, meaning the bulk of the wealth in the nation resides with very few individuals. We have the worst income disparity in the world. I think you would probably agree that historically, civilizations where a minority had all the wealth and power never lasted long or ended well. How did Trump's tax break try to alleviate that problem? What if he'd figured out a way to help middle class kids get a break on paying back their student loans, rather than removing the estate taxes for those people with estates larger than 5 million?
