Scary stuff, yeah, no global warming. I foresee a day the crops fail for a couple years in a row. We are sh** up the creek if that happens, will have world starvation. Our earth is fragile and we are abusing it badly. We need to take action right now.

I've already heard of permafrost problems in other parts of the world. If people would actually read about what's going on around the world, instead of taking the word of politicians, I think most people would take global warming a lot more seriously.

Current temperature in Longyearbyen, is 7 degrees F. at 3:00 on a Spring afternoon! Kinda hard for ice to melt at -14 C.

Did you bother to read the article? Ok so during construction some perma frost melted, give it time it will refreeze. I an anther article a couple years back, it seem that the tunnel slopes down hill, So the Summer time snow melt runs into he tunnel. Are you kidding, they didn't realize that water runs down hill. Are these the same people that are going to save the Earth??

Our earth is fragile and we are abusing it badly. We need to take action right now. I don't think we will. At this point, the human race killing itself through our own hubris and greed may be the best thing for the planet. We have not been good stewards, and I see few signs of that changing.
