watching the game tonight, I caught a stat for "points in the paint" between the two teams. I'm not a regular basketball watcher - college or NBA - and I have a question. what I thought was "the paint" is not actually painted in the court tonight. can a regular basketball fan confirm? what I thought was "the paint" is the area that is not painted within the 3-pt arc tonight. I am referring to the area between the free-throw line and the end line, from that inner arc down the parallel lines where the guys that don't throw line up.

I have no clue why they insisted in shooting three's all night long...... I know they tried to draw UConn's defense out, but this was ridiculous.
They had enough bricks to build a two story house tonight.

Doesn't Butler normally shoot the ball well? I want to say they had planned on shooting outside the paint most of the night because of the size difference.

Didn't UConn have recruiting violations as well? Yes. The kid that the violations related refused to talk to NCAA investigators during the investigation. Then two days ago he said he was ready to talk to the NCAA and he said Calhoun had specific knowledge of the infractions (which did not come out during the investigation). What a freaking punk. |

Sounds like it was pretty low scoring game on both sides. What percentage did UConn shoot, I'm guessing it had to be better than the 19% I keep hearing about Butler shooting this morning. |
