I had two picks I wanted to go long on, but am worried we will see a government shutdown and the markets will freak out again, so not sure what to do. Nothing suits me to short just on a "maybe" a shutdown.

Will go with ZTS this week, on a weak feeling their quarterly numbers will be ok, and will not tank if there is  a shutdown.

Hi guys!  I'm ok...I just did too much yesterday & wiped myself out.  I didn't get up until 9:30 this morning & I'm normally up by at least 7am.  I've been trying to rest more today so that I don't do the same thing to myself tonight.

So I'll just sit in the stands and watch this week...good luck to all of you!

And I played a real round (real golf course ) yesterday. Probably 1st

Arch, I play 5 days a week. I don't know Why, maybe I just can. LOL  For disclosure, I backed up the Truck over the last few weeks and I own 5000 shares of OAS. 

VB, am I right in thinking that That second stock you where looking for this weeks game was OAS?

LOL, no. I do not really follow OAS, but liked what I saw and I also like CRON, although I was not sure if CRON would play well this week. I almost played NBEV but did not like it's chances of another large move this week.
I looked at this week's picks, and checked the stocks out. Last year Kadee got me all excited about this group as a whole, but there is no way I would hold any of them long term. Too volitile for a value buy investor!
I liked your pick as well as CRON. 

My original picks were CHK or GOOS.
I did not care for CHK'S stock chart, and did not expect a good enough jump in the stock to have a chance.  
I was going to go long on GOOS ( good thing I didn't based on quarterly report and subsequent sell off) and was afraid if they did report good numbers and Trump closed the government down again, it along with most of the stock market would tank.
I felt ZTS was a defensive pick and could survive a shutdown if it happened as I did not see this stock suffering along with the market as a whole, but expected at most, maybe 5% top gain for the week so I am a happy camper this week.
