might be interested. I was doing a google for a Readers Digest story from Nam I believe, to use example of waste by government , especially in wars, a unit that watched as a valley was blasted by 16 # shells from one of our battleships, plus heavy land based guns, 8 ", and a bombing by B-52's , they were on a hill top over looking and after all over they and other units swept it and except for some water buffalo's , no enemy was there, bad Intel, different valley or some sort, but never found HOWEVER I did find this site. You know how it goes, you Google, and come across something completely different but fascinating.
