something to ponder. FB is a for-profit business that allows users to speak their minds, under the terms and conditions agreed to when a user signs up for this free service. freedom of speech doesn't apply here, the ToC for the site rules.

Freedom of speech is that you can't be jailed for what you say. No one is obligated to provide you with a platform to say it on. The flip of that is you have to hope someone with the money to provide a platform has views similar enough to yours so you have a place to promote your ideas.
If DT had his way the media would only report his version of events. If he ever manages to enact laws to enforce that, that is scary. That is a big step in moving forward on dictatorship or a facist state.

Exactly. Freedom of speech is not an issue relevant to Facebook. It is not a relevant argument here on this forum, or on the old MSN boards when laterbloomer and I were among the moderators there. A private company has the right to create the standards they are willing to allow. The balance is to create limits that still make the forum an attractive place to visit, but there is no freedom of speech argument to be made anywhere on a private forum. It simply does not apply. If you don't like Facebook's rules, don't join or post there. I don't. You don't have to either.
