That's a very pretty party dress debt.
I need to unpack and repack today. I'm going home for Thanksgiving a few days early.
I have a few ideas bouncing around in my head to try but little time to make them happen before I leave.
I bought new sheets so I want to get those on the bed.

I have not been keeping up with the decluttering process, and I see that I need to clear out about 1500 items in 6 weeks to meet my goal. Maybe if I count each sheet of paper that gets scanned and then discarded. I went up to my overstuffed attic today and brought down a couple of bins of linens that have not been opened for about 5 years. I found some new towels up there, so some of my old towels are being replaced. I went through the bins, put some stuff into the donate pile, and consolidated into one bin. I also got rid of some small items. So, some progress.

Debt, that's a fantastic dress!!!
finnime , good luck with the baking.
startsmart , yay for finishing the planting.
wvugurl26 , I love new sheets!
mollyanna58 , maybe purging 201.9 items for the remaining of the calendar year?
nidena, are you settling into your new housing and routines?
Fake Thanksgiving is done. We did okay. I am exhausted though. My right arm (the shoulder area that had four surgeries on it early this year) is incredibly sore. Cooking that much takes a lot of arm use!
Two days of regular school/work this week then one day of work-from-home.

dannylion, at least you had a space cleared for the incoming Christmas packages. My incoming Christmas packages are just sitting on the floor in my bedroom.
plugginaway22, we cheated and had a landscaping maintenance team come in and clean up the leaves. Two adults, two utility trailer loads, and seven hours of work. We didn't have time to keep up with it before the rain returned.
nikiz628, did I miss the pictures?
snapdragon, I'm glad you figured it out before you hired him.
Sharon, how's it going with your mom?
moneysquirrel, how did the crafts go?

Iggy- I was tempted to put up my Christmas tree too. I started the outdoor lights though. It will be very cold here by Black Friday which is when I usually start outside. I started a few weeks ago when I noticed a lot of my neighbors had also started the outdoor displays. I have decisions to make though - we pulled out a lot of out front landscaping so I have no place to put my net lights. I have 4 large blue spruce trees I usually decorate, and one of the smaller ones is done so far. My DH thought I was nuts - he said to wait and he will help me. I was thinking yeah, he doesn't usually help me, but then I decided he is a little inconsistent - but he does often help. DH has a long list of things to do though that I can't do - so I will at least get the lower parts of the trees/smaller trees done on my own.
Chloe, I am worried about your stress level - I read of your two jobs and the confrontation with a coworker yesterday and thought your employer is putting too much stress on you. You could end up with a nervous breakdown if you are not careful.
Iggy - I did not catch that you are having issues at work too - good luck resolving it. Thank you. I think we've prevented that part with the addition of another position. The new part time hire should start in January when we get back from Christmas Break.

TheOtherMe -- Just caught up and read about your dad. Keeping you and yours in prayers. Rest assured that you did everything within your power to get him the help he needed. Hopefully your sister will realize your strengths. debthaven -- Love the dress. Have a great birthday and enjoy the party that celebrates you! Knee Deep in Water Chloe-- Craft shows went well. My expectations are low so as long as I make enough to pay for my table and lunch I consider it a good show. Last few I made a little profit as well. Made enough to cover the order of supplies that will be arriving this week and have a little left over. Also two shows in December left to go. One is very small and I usually don't do well but it is for one of the local school's PTO so I consider my booth fee as a donation. Would be nice to cover that and make a little but not counting on it. The other is at a local art market in conjunction with the farmer's market and we usually do ok at that one. We participate in it twice a year -- right before Mother's Day and in December. I share my booth with a friend and we split the fees so that helps. My Etsy shop doesn't do well but I opened it so that I can tell customers at the shows that I have a shop online. Most of my products are not in that shop but I do need to spend more time working on it and I am more interested in making the items than in marketing them. I know that I need to work more on adding a new item to it more often.

nidena , are you settling into your new housing and routines?
I still don't have a set routine though I'm trying to make trips to the Y a part of the daily or every-other-day routine. My strength and stamina have dropped drastically in the past three years and I'm working to change that. I've also began work on a website that I've been wanting to do for a number of years. I'm currently compiling all the information into an Excel workbook and then I plan to (somehow) connect/input it to the website itself. I know nothing about website building so it's a VERY slow process. I did vacuum, today, for the first time in a month. Made quite a difference in how the carpet looks. Big surprise!

I think we've prevented that part with the addition of another position.Knee Deep in Water Chloe that's fabulous news!!! I've been worried about you too. It just didn't seem sustainable. I'm so happy everyone likes the dress! This week
- Classes 1+2: 35 tests/Mon
- pharmacy
- Class A: 20 final reports/Wed I worked like a fiend today and finished those 35 tests (they're quick). Having 62 papers left for this week feels much better than having 97.

Thank you, bean29 and debthaven for your kind thoughts about my work situation. I attended a work function late last week and after seeing a higher up in person and speaking with him about it, I feel a bit better. debthaven, that dress is absolutely gorgeous! bobosensei, I went through a major clothing purge for the first time in decades over Labor Day weekend last year. I slowly, methodically went through every item starting with the coat closet, home office closet, hanging clothes then 3 dresser drawers. Questions to myself during the process included: Do I like this fabric? Does this fit? Do I feel good wearing it? It took me several hours resulting in at least 6 bags full of neatly folded items, a stack of hanging clothes, a few pairs of still-decent footwear, and a few accessories, all of which were donated to Goodwill. It's worth it. We returned from being out of town Saturday evening. I spent yesterday doing 4 loads of laundry, dishes, and finished decorating the main floor and wrapping gifts. It now really is cozy in our home. Decluttering: When I put away Halloween items last week, 4 silicone molds I haven't used in several years went into the Goodwill bin. Two duplicate Christmas items joined them. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I made a quick trip to the grocery and hope that I didn't forget anything. House is in pretty good shape. Will need to mop the the bath and the kitchen but those will get done in the morning. I need to do some chopping tomorrow so will wait until that is done since I know that I will drop things. Still need to file the pile but may do that tonight or tomorrow. Only one more room to Roomba -- I block it off and have it do rooms one at a time. I know which rooms it has issues with -- catching on rug, stuck trying to get under the sofa which is too low for it to do, etc. That room is now finished and it is working around all the carts and supplies in the beading room/studio. Will set it up for the morning in the bathroom. My order came in and I spent some time getting rid of all the unnecessary packaging. Have the supplies for several items that I have to make in the new year that I couldn't do since I didn't have the correct colors. That should keep me busy and out of trouble. Still have to finish the current project -- two more sections to do plus the assembly of the five components. Don't think I will get any of it done today. Also tomorrow I need to rearrange my craft show displays as they are completely unorganized again. Had a broken display item and needed to improvised for the last show. Want to get things back in order for the last two shows and for those friends/clients who call at the last minute for one gift item that they omitted from their memory. Knee Deep in Water Chloe -- Add me to the list that you are getting help in the near future. I was also afraid that you were doing too much. Burnout is really in the profession and trying to do two jobs will not be positive.

Love the idea of you staying out of trouble moneysquirrel LOL! I just ordered my first Christmas gift. DS1 always gives me a list of 4-5 things for each of them. So easy!!! His top wish was for a piece of luggage (his is broken) but it was 170 euros, which is out of our budget with the 4 kids and their SOs. I found it on Amazon 40% off!!! So 102 euros instead of 170 euros! I have Prime, so free delivery, but I paid an extra 2 euros to select a 2-hour delivery window. I wanted to order that item quickly because it was on sale. I'll order DDIL's gifts after the weekend. If only my other kids were that cooperative (ie a list to choose from)!
ETA: 102 euros = $112. It's 10% more from euro to dollar.

Don't you order on Amazon US for DS1 and family? I found that for me at least ordering in Germany for DS2 and family, and here in the US for the rest of my shopping turns out to be much more economical

NastyWoman it depends ... I do if they're in the US to receive the gift (ie birthdays), but they'll be here for Christmas (well, before and after), so I ordered it from Amazon France to be delivered here. They'll take it back with them (to carry their Christmas gifts lol). They asked for a bicycle for DGS ... I'll order that on Amazon US and have that delivered to them once they're home again in early January.
DS1 just changed his mind and decided he preferred grey ... it was 20 euros more than the navy, but still 122 euros instead of 170, which is fine.
ETA: Not sure I was clear ... they alternate families for Christmas itself, but they come back to Europe for Christmas, so I order their Christmas gifts on Amazon France (or UK) to be delivered here, unless it's too difficult to transport (ie DGS's bicycle).

Hi Kids! I'm so sorry it's been so long since I've checked in here. Sadly, I've really no progress to report. I've been job hunting, plus, getting buried with paperwork for DS and my relative. It's definitely not been boring here, just haven't gotten any decluttering done. I did sign up for a couple Facebook garage sale sites to try & unload a couple of things, but have gotten nowhere with that either. Now the holidays are here, so most likely won't get back to it all until after the holidays. I haven't touched my Christmas cards yet, but at least I got my main shopping done for Thanksgiving today. Looks like you all are making some nice progress. Carry on!

I want a week off from work to declutter around our house. That is so boring, but the basement really needs attention. However, I am not taking a week vacation to work. So I will continue at a snails pace to get items back into the kitchen and donate what doesn't find a home in the new kitchen. I took a few items last week along with a huge rug to Goodwill. The rug is in great condition, but it does need cleaned. We are changing out colors so that is why we didn't keep it. I have 2 mirrors that can go with the next trip to Goodwill. I want to get through more boxes so the stop is worthwhile. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope you all enjoy the festivities.

Went to the bank, post office, DMV, gas station and grocery store before the storm hit last night.
Magazines and egg cartons will go to my sister this Thursday. Empty Amazon boxes will be put into the recycle bin tomorrow. I'll bake pies and cheesecake tomorrow night to bring to mom's Thursday. Addressing Christmas cards over the long weekend. DH and I will follow tradition and watch Christmas Vacation Thursday or Friday evening.

Errands this week are done, I got a few things last minute for dinner, dropped off a package at the post office, dropped off my water bill and then came home. The trash is out for pickup tomorrow, I put down grass seed before it started raining today and don’t need to leave the house until Monday.
I have about 80 more quilt pieces to add and then I’ll be waiting on some swaps to come in the mail to include.

I have a feeling some things from mom and dad may be brought home on Friday.
I need to scan one of the photo albums. So wish I had this one sooner. It's the one mom kept all those years ago with dad's bowling winnings. Some of these photos need to be shown at the funeral.
She has all the newspaper articles in it, too.

DS1 and DS2's dinner with their Dad + Granddad finished late, so DS1 decided to sleep at DS2's place since he has to be in town early tomorrow. No problem, I'll see him tomorrow. DS1 told me he wants to sleep in his old basement bedroom since it's just him. So in the end I DID make up DS2's bed with the new sheets. They look great! DS2 + GF will be happy to have a bigger duvet (the duvet is the same size, but since the cover is bigger, it's not scrunched up.) This is the new bedding I got, in dark grey. (I think the link comes up in blue.) www.laredoute.fr/ppdp/prod-500786161.aspx

I am home working and sewing on breaks with 4 dogs here (2 go home tonight). For thanksgiving I just made a board of fruits and veggies, meat and cheese for snacking. I have the ingredients to make a Shepard’s pie which I may tackle tomorrow.
I would like to start selling some of my fabric bundles on Etsy but the idea of a project right now is crazy. I may just plan on that after I move to keep my collection from going overboard.

Brought two bags of stuff down from the attic; both had evidence that a critter had been storing nuts in them Fortunately, most of the stuff was well wrapped, but other things went straight into the trash. One of the well wrapped items was a glass, hand painted jewelry box which I had forgotten about.
