...the online mortgage lender? I am buying a house and they are just about the least expensive. It's actually between Amerisave and a local bank here in North Carolina.
Amerisave is only 1 of 6 upfront lenders out there; meaning that they guarantee all fees and points (if you pay them) and nothing changes by closing. I've always heard good things but still checking.

No experience with Amerisave but I prefer to work with the local credit unions around my area. Good competitive rates and low fees. In fact, the actual fees I paid came up lower than their good faith estimate.
