It was announced om CNBC she had surgery for two malignant lumps (I believe on her lungs) and is recovering comfortably. These were discovered while being checked out on her recent fall. No link available yet

I just read some of her history. She definitely has great luck with catching health issues! I read that ten years ago they found early stages of pancreatic cancer. And now they found this because she cracked some ribs. She seems like a tough old bird who hopefully will pull through this, too
And I am horrified by the lack of humanity I have seen towards this woman. I obviously do not agree with her politically but to read some of the comments out there on the internet hoping she dies from this just sickens me.

Honestly, a push further right and away from the electorate will only speed the dissolution of the republic, so I’m resigned to that if it happens.
She’s a great person though and I hope she pulls through.

She’s a great person though and I hope she pulls through. I'm expecting it to happen. We no longer live in either a democracy or a representative democracy. Gerrymandering and the Electoral College means the will of groups other than republicans are discounted. The longer time goes on, the more I feel certain that the republic will be dissolved. Unfortunately my family is going to splinter when that happens.

If Hillary had campaigned in blue midwest industrial states with large populations, she would have won by about fifty, maybe, sixty Electoral votes. She thought she had them in the bag. This is on her. She should have won Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and probably Ohio. Subtract those numbers from Trump and assign them to her, and where would we be?

Apparently you're unaware of the heavy gerrymandering in some states, like Wisconsin. If you saw how the population tends to vote, vs. how the districts are sliced and diced, THAT is how the GOP has been winning. It has nothing to do with the number of people going out and voting. Add in people getting turned away at the polls, and welcome to politics 2018.

When dems won 3 recent presidents based in popular vote and lost in ec I’m not sure how you say it benefits them?
We do not have close representationsl government at this point. The governing body is not reflective of the greater demographics. And this will fine to a head in the courts with their lifetime appointments. The least bad option is going to be stacking the court, but that will also weaken the republic... and other options more so...

But to see how it is wrong requires math.

the American healthcare system is stupid.

Seriously. We need to relearn how to die with dignity in old age. We need to start with including end of life planning for all, which cannot be overridden by other relatives.
Last I looked 1/3 of Medicare goes to people in their last year of life and a significant portion of that to the last 2 months.

We need to have frank and honest conversations about the realities of life and one's conditions.
