Blue Plate mayonnaise user here. Been buying it for years.
I grew up on Miracle Whip. Did not have mayonnaise on a sandwich until I was about 14. Never went back to Miracle Whip on a regular basis after that.
The only time I do use Miracle Whip is when I have a bacon and crunchy peanut butter sandwich. The bit of sweetness in Miracle Whip compliments the savory taste of bacon and the saltiness of the peanut butter.

To me, Miracle Whip tastes like mayo that has gone bad and has started to ferment.

Miracle Whip was invented during the Depression, as a cheap alternative to the fancy, high-falutin' mayonnaise.

haven't yet clicked the link, but Miracle Whip is a grocery item "hill" that my roommate has chosen to die on. I don't get it....
I will click the link, though. this thread caught my eye on last refresh before shutting down lol....

Had many a Friendly's dessert in my youth. Wish they were down here. |
