For my husband, it's Troy Aikman. He seems to hate Eli Manning.

Back when I was watching NFL religiously I started using mute with most of announcers in last 6 or 8 yrs. They were horrible and I don't need talking heads to tell me what is going on.   But no one in particular just all in general.

My husband hasn’t been able to listen to Walton since PAC-12 hired him—and we watch a lot of Duck and other Pac-12 games.

Also, he hates the new “rules” guys that most NFL games have now. I try to explain to him that Not everyone knows the rules as well as he does, but he doesn’t care.

There was a game a long time ago when the NFL experimented with not having an announcer. The announcerless game was an American football contest played on December 20, 1980, between the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League.

Thanks for the link. I didn't remember this so probably didn't watch game. But on this topic dare I say that I did love Cosell, Dandy Don and Frank Gifford on MNF.

I wonder how that experiment would work today with the hi tech stuff we have now? Be interesting to see if they would try it again. I think I just may contact someone in charge and ask them
