This is an important economic development. I do not really care for exportation of this commodity, but it does help close our monetary drain of imports versus exports. We no longer are dependent of boycotts by foreign countries of an important commodity that runs our economy.

I think we need to make sure we don't tap into our reserves too greedily. I have always thought it was to our advantage to leave our supply in the ground and use up what others are willing to put on the market now. That way, when it becomes truly more scarce, we have more control. Being independent with only a bit to export seems perfect.
