And which party is calling for Medicare for all as well as free University tuition? Yes, the dems are fiscal conservatives...... GOP had the opportunity to offer a better healthcare option. Trump's 2016 stump speech promised cheap and beautiful healthcare for everyone (and we all get to keep the doctors we like!). Two years into Trump's term, what has the GOP done? It's done it's level best to kill off the ADA and gone after one of the most popular parts of the ADA - preexisting conditions.
The country is regressing to the pre-ADA times, as far as the number of uninsured Americans, and healthcare is just as expensive as it ever was.
If the GOP can't come up with a decent alternative to the ADA, they need to STFU about healthcare and let the Dems push forward with a way to provide cheap, quality healthcare for everyone (even if it means broadening Medicare coverage). The GOP lost their chance to fix it when they had control of Congress and the executive branch, so they also lost the right to whine about it.
Do you mean the ACA?

i won't be happy until he gets a sustained 4%, like he promised. anything else is less than i bargained for.
You never accepted the bargain from him, so don't worry about it. You have no contract with him. rubbish. neither of us voted for Obama, but we had every right, as CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY, to expect him to uphold his promises. i can use the same standard for Trump.

Since they harped on it so much during Obama's tenure I thought the GOP may do something about the deficit which is why except for President I voted GOP federally in 16. I was wrong in a big way and realized the GOP was never about balancing the budget but is about tax cuts for the rich at the peril of the National Debt. I voted for the Dems federally in 18, not because I think they will balance the budget, but do think at this point in time think they are the more fiscally conservative party by a wide margin. And which party is calling for Medicare for all as well as free University tuition? Yes, the dems are fiscal conservatives...... no, they are not, but you have to give them this: at least they have plans for increasing revenue to pay for it. what is going to pay for the budget increases Trump has made?

Yea~~that 17% increase in the deficit is working! Those middle class tax cuts we got before the mid-terms should be kicking in soon too! #MAGA~~right on the backs of our kids and grandkids, right? Here is what gets me. Who here actually believe either party or actual political leader would go with a balanced budget, or better yet, an actual budget with a "profit" where they pay the deficit down? either major party? no. neither major party will do that. so, why do you keep voting for them?

I was told that they raided S.S. to balance the budget when Bill Clinton was in office,,
Where did the S.S. money go?
um, there is no SS "account" to raid. it all goes into the general fund.
and that has been done since day zero of SS, by every president, including the current one.
