I have an ethical question for you ladies. I was cutting out my CVS rewards off the receipt and noticed that it said "Ms. Amber B." at the top. That's not me. It's my friend from Fort Bragg 7 years ago, she must have given me her CVS card for some reason, and I never took it off my keychain. Soooo...should I get another one in my name? And keep hers too? Go to 2 different CVS stores? This last wouldn't be a big deal, as there's one right down the street from me, and then one closer to post that is easy to get to as well. What should I do??

I have one of those 4$/20 that expires today. How can this work ... ------ Complete Multi-Purpose Solution, 12 oz, $8.99 Right Guard Total Defense Body Wash, $3.88 2 Wisk BOGO $8.00 ------ 20.87 - $4 - $1 Right Guard Peelie - $1 Complete Multi-Purpose Solution 4/3 - $4 (2 $2/1 Wisk) ------------ 10.87 - 10 or 11 ECBs -------- Just Taxes, Get Back $3 ECB(RG) and $8.99 ECB. I don't need the Complete Multi-Purpose Solution, but I have too much toothpaste, floss & toothbrush at this point. Good Idea? Horrible? Can you only use this $/$$ off be used more than once? Does Wisk's have the "Free & Clear" brand? Thanks! I did it !!! So I got almost Free Detergent. YAY! I changed the order around since I didn't want to buy the Solution thing that I didn't want ........ 2 Crest Floss , $6.98 2 Right Guard Total Defense Body Wash, $7.76 2 Wisk BOGO $8.99 PF Organic Wear Raincheck (last week) 9.99 ------ 33.72 Subtotal - $4/$20 CVS - $5 PF ( THANKS debinwa) - $3.88 BOGO Right Guard - $1 Right Guard Peelie - $4 (2 $2/1 Wisk) - $1.50 (2 0.75/1 Crest) --------- 14.34 - 13.99 ECB (Allegra 6.99, 7 PF last week) -------- Subtotal : 0.35 Taxes : 2.16 OOP 2.51 , Got Back $3 ECB(RG) and $5 Crest and 7 PF ECB. I'm pretty excited about this Now the odd thing is that my taxes is 9.5%, but its only 2.16 ($2.16 is 9.5% of a approx. 22.72 subtotal), so something must have cut into the taxes, can anyone tell what it was? Awesome job on getting almost-free detergent! I need to do some of that

The Home 6 - I think its really up to you. I have two different cards that I run deals on. One for DH, one for me. I have several stores close by, otherwise I just go on different days (so I don't get confused). If your friend might still have the other card & still using it, I would get a completely new one just incase she runs a deal before you get to it (or if you are getting to the deals before she is!)

Anyone have a minute and access to a scanner to help me get a target coupon? I could use the Mio liquid water enhancer $1 off coupon in the grocery section scanned and e-mailed to me at thestalker at hotmail dot com (my spam/coupon account!) TIA!

ALERT FOR HOUND BUDDIES! PLEASE READ! I received an email from WAGS last night that stated my email address had been hacked from the company whose purpose is communication between companies and their customers. I had given WAGS my email address so I could get "photo" coupon offers. But now I just heard on CNN, it's much worse. It affects millions of email addresses because the same company deals with other big corporations. There were about 22 companies involved: WAGS, Fred Meyers, 1-800 Flowers, etc., Best Buy, many big banks, etc. I'm sure CVS was on the list too, but it was impossible to memorize all of them! The company would not go into much detail as to how all the email accounts were hacked.
One CNN employee said he just got an email from his bank and it looked very official. The message was letting him know about a refund. All he had to do was hit a link and "update his personal financial information". Of course, it was a phishing attempt to get his bank account # and possibly his SS#.
So be warned, don't hit any links in emails! Reports are that this is the biggest breach of customer information (email addresses) in US history...

Just a random question for someone who has (2) Wellness cards and uses whatever UPs they have on either one: Have you had any problems at the register this weekend when "crossing over" your usage of UPs? Not at all...yet! Is something coming this way???

Great...I had already gotten a notification from Kroger and someone else, but now I see I got one from Target and WAGS. Apparently, they all use "Epsilon" for email service in some way, and that's who got hacked. Can't people think of better things to do? ETA: Road Runner has a story on this...Epsilon sends 40 BILLION emails per year on behalf of its clients, so this is going to affect a lot of people!

The home 6, I would get my own card and finish off that one. Do not waste the EB's from that card, since you "earned" them, but finish them off soon. In other words, "burn" them on milk, bottled water, and other foods or things that you need. Then start again with a new one in your name. I don't think that CVS would care, but at some point, maybe your friend would if she started using the card herself and she didn't get the EB's she thought she would. In the meantime, use a separate card in your name. That is just me.

picghaw I think what dancin meant about converting RR's to GC's is to buy one of the free or MM MIR's and then take that check and buy a GC with it. SOME people, frugalsuz comes to mind, is able to "buy" gift cards with RR's. I have before, as well. It says it's not allowed with the RR's, but it's YMMV. If I'm buying other things in my order, the RR's don't "attach" to the gift card, so, I've been able to do it. I tend to do it around Christmas time, but haven't tried it recently. Not sure if frugalsuz has done it recently, but maybe she'll post here. Sorry, been super busy and I'm just catching up on my reading. I used to use RR's to purchase gift cards at Walgreens pretty often, but then they put out their coupon policy that prohibited this, so I haven't tried since then. Sorry can't be of more help! I placed my first coupon order with The Coupon Wizards and was happily surprised to get my coupons in today's mail! ;D It cost me $13.95 for ten copies of Sunday's SS and P&G inserts. Its a smidge more than Mad Coupons, but hopefully without the headaches Mad Coupons was giving me. Here's their site if anyone is interested (and thank you to whoever first posted this!): coupon-wizards.com/weekly-insert-service/Frugalsuz: Here's some karma for sharing feedback about that service. I gave madcoupons one more try this month , like a fool, and this weekend she got no coupons, and only gave notice of this today in a pitiful, poorly worded email. I'm done. Thanks for the feedback, I will be moving on to hopefully greener pastures.

Pat i know what you mean. I was in Wegmans looking for coupon bargains and most of the things for sale were store brand. I really had a problem finding name brands there. This is an up market type of store i really don't think i will ever go back there as they only seem to have their things out. Shame cos there bread and cakes are nice, but have doubled in price in the past couple of years.

It says this was sent out on Monday, I got it Tuesday morning. Either way, people place their orders well in advance and for her to notify anyone until the day AFTER the coupons come out? Ridiculous. There was said to have 2 Coupon Inserts from this last weekend. However we aren't offering these coupons.Come on over to Coupon Wizards! ;D

Shoot, I feel like starting my own coupon service!! The Saturday paper one town over carries all the inserts for only $1. Maybe I need to contact them & just start buying up 100 papers/week, and sending them out in lots of 5-10 each!! Hmm...maybe I can do an insert "service" for the hounds here I might just have to call the newspaper office to see what they say. Pat - I know what you mean about prices rising. The thing is - Great Value brand has been around forever (we bought it all the time when I was a kid!). I dont think store generics are going to run out name-brands any time soon. Especially since a lot of the name-brands actually produce the generics too (they just get different packaging - seriously!). As a rule, generics are cheaper than name-brands. But, name brands will go on sale (generics rarely do), and they also have coupons (again, not so much for generics). If you are not brand-loyal, and you can hold out for a sale, wait to find something at your rock-bottom price & then start to stockpile. A great way to do a quick price-book is to go through your grocery store - like Walmart - where you think the best deals already are. Take a notebook, and jot down all the prices for the items you buy. Use that as your baseline. Then, when you see a name-brand item on sale, you can quick-reference your price book to see if its truly a deal or not. Then you purchase the one that is the best deal. When you see something ridiculously on sale (like cereal for $.10 or even free), then stock up and get all that your family will use within the expiration date period.

Ethical Couponing
Ok, I just saw something about "Ethical" couponing on AFC that irritated me a bit. Someone stated they didn't know if they could stack a $x/1 on top of a bogo. Well, there are only 2 codes on a bogo coupon - 01 or 14. 01 is technically a "free item", so you can stack another coupon in for the item that you are "paying" for, without worry about register beeps. 14 is a BOGO, and attaches to both items. Some stores still let you use the $x/1 as well, or if you give it first you can avoid beeps, but if you give it 2nd it will beep.
They said knowing the codes was considered "de-coding", and that it was un-ethical to know that information. How in the world is that unethical? I can see if you were using the coding on a coupon to get around its intended purpose, but if its a BOGO and you are using it as such, how is that wrong? And really, if you pay attention to your coupons it would not be too hard to figure out after awhile on your own.

Some hound might have already mentioned this but: I just saw an ad on TLC (The Learning Channel). There's a show premiering on Wednesday night, 4/6 that's called: "Extreme Couponing".They showed one lady in a store and the beginning total was about $645.00 and she said she was hoping to get it down to only $6.45--paying about 1% of the retail. Not sure what time's it's scheduled to be on. The TV ad didn't mention the lady's name, but *Chuckle* it could have easily be our Suzi Q.

It's A Full Cup. I use them instead of HCW most of the time, only because their background is not so bright (the Orange gets to me for some reason...). Funny thing is that a lot of people are on both sites and use the same screen names, yet its against the rules to actually talk about the other forum

I'm all for using coupons according to the rules, but some people get a little militant! I guess we're just supposed to pretend we don't see the codes at the bottom.

I think one of the couponers on one of the next couple of shows is Amber from couponconnectionsnw dot com. I think they filmed her at an Albertsons. I'm anxious to see if they make these next few shows more normal than the first one. I know Amanda from the first show was very upset about how she was made to look like a lunatic.

dancimama : I need a little hand holding with MIRs . So I found some MIR peelies on 3 different Wags Blood Glucose Monitors... Wags True2Go (9.99), Wags TrueResult(19.99) & Wags TrueTrack(I think $17.99). Have you done a rebate for these items before? It looks like the MIR has been going on since last year. Has anyone? I don't see it mentioned anywhere so I was wondering if I was missing something like maybe Wags is not sending the checks out to people or something. The Peelie I got states an expiration date of 2012 and is for 2 of the items (True2Go & TrueResult). What about Accu-chek? Got a little nervous about making the purchase, so I thought I check in you since you know all about MIR . I am hoping to buy all of these with RRs. Rebate receipts have always worked for you, yes? This is almost too good to be true, if I get all 3 plus Nexcare and Accu-check, add in Neuragen, ArthArrest & TheraFlu...... . Thanks

Has anybody done the Wags Accu-chek MIR? I remember a similar sale to this week going on back in Jan when I joined, so has anyone who did it in Jan received their check yet? Can I do more than 1 per address? Does it matter if I leave the "diagnosis with diabetes" question blank? What about the Omega Fish Oil MIR? Anybody received their check yet? dancimama : I need a little hand holding with MIRs . This is almost too good to be true, if I get all 3 plus Nexcare and Accu-check, add in Neuragen, ArthArrest & TheraFlu...... . Thanks picghaw: I have not done any of the WAGs diabetic monitor rebates, so I can't speak from experience; but if you get that special rebate receipt for each one, I don't see why you wouldn't get the rebate. It sounds like you're in rebate heaven. Great job!! I know the Nexcare deal/rebate has been discussed, but my head must have been in the clouds cuz I don't remember EXACTLY what it was. Would you mind doing a rinse and repeat with the details. TIA

Ethical CouponingOk, I just saw something about "Ethical" couponing on AFC that irritated me a bit. Sam: I have to agree with you. I'm all for using coupons according to the rules, but some people get a little militant! I guess we're just supposed to pretend we don't see the codes at the bottom. Isn't that the truth, LOL.I think that different numbers mean different products; other numbers are for how many you are supposed to buy for each coupon. If you know, please share this information privately. You all have private mailboxes. On the other hand, everything and almost anything can be already found on the internet. I would not want anyone to get into trouble for teaching us dare I say it:"THE CODES"
