It's entertainment just like a concert. If you don't want to pay then don't go.

Like I said, then don't go. If they go out of business then so what. But.....look at what builds the stadiums. Tax payers money. The NFL is a smart company.

Not worth it to me. I enjoy NFL football, but if I want to hang out with a bunch of drunks, there are cheaper ways to do it. Plus, the stadium our team plays at is no longer issuing paper tickets: you need to own a smart phone, or have a friend come to the game with you who has one. I save a bundle of money by NOT owning a smart phone, so, no thank you. I've taken the kids to college games, and have paid less than $10 a ticket in the last couple of years. I prefer watching the college kids, as they play hard, and you get a lot closer to the action.

The cheapest parking parking for our home hockey games and that’s way away is $40. I’m glad I can UBER or park at DS’s and walk.

To each his own. I've paid what some would consider outrageous price for concerts and other things. My money and I know up front that it is going to cost me for a lot for parking and anything else I chose to pay for when there.
It's always been that way - the prices have just escalated over the 60 yrs I have been going to these types of venues.
No one is forced to go.
ETA: I can remember paying $19.99 for Broadband Internet back in the late 90's with Comcast too. But now it's $40+ Supply and demand.

The real rip off last week was $4/bottle for water at the Carolina Panthers stadium. It was over 90, people were getting heat stroke. The limit what you can bring in. They had souvenir cups with unlimited refills for soda and Gatorade but no water option like you typically see at those soda stations. I saw people with armloads of water. They made a killing. We spent over $50 on freaking water for two of us.
FIL's tickets to the Ravens are $80ish. My friend's club level seats are $200. Parking ranges $20-40 depending on the game and when we arrive to the lot. Haven't gone in several years. They've been crappy plus their games usually conflict with us being away for college football.

Well, the prices are the prices. They have no obligation to make it affordable for a family of four. It's an indulgence, entertainment, etc. Someone might pay to go to a game versus spending money to take a weekend getaway. Its purely discretionary income so if they want to charge more, then they can. It's up to them to set their prices via market value.

We prefer hockey and try to take in a game or two a year. Parking is usually about 10 to $20. And, we usually get some food there. It's fun.

When we went to Talladega last year for Dale Jr's last race, the face value on our tickets was $199 each. We were on the front stretch, high enough to see the entire track, & 50 feet beyond the start finish line (best place to be). We were given our tickets thru hubby's work. Beers were $8.75 each, water was $6, hot dog with fries was $9.50.
We took in 3 coolers (of the regulated size) filled with water, beer, soda, & food. The only thing we bought was a program to keep. It was $30.
btw, since I knew I couldn't sit for the anthem (which I wanted to do, but hubby reminded me we're in hardcore redneck country & he couldn't beat up everyone who would have a shit fit over my little protest) Instead I stood in a beer line with all the other great redneck patriots. When the anthem was done, I got out of line & went to my seat.
