Nope. I'm guessing that he got such a sweet deal because he provided a lot of very good evidence to Mueller. There had to be some punishment and this slap on the wrist was it.

Mueller said he didn't care what the guy got. Apparently, the guy sang like a bird.
The Fox News comments are full of Trumpettes back slapping each other on this magnificent win, though. Another one of Trump's election advisors gets a guilty conviction and jail time, and because it's just 14 days it's time to celebrate?
I guess that goes to show how fucked up the Trump administration is. "Well, he didn't get 8 convictions and years in jail like Manafort, whoo hoo, #winning!"
I guess after a few weeks of such shitty, non stop news about their feckless, amoral leader, it doesn't take much to get the Trumpettes excited. Poor starved things.

And since grand juries are secret, not much to talk about until there are charges or not.

Why should Mueller's team be embarrassed? One article I read said that lying to investigators generally doesn't result in ANY jail time. The prosecutor recommended "up to six months." They just wanted some time in jail, it didn't matter how much. The judge knocked it down to 14 days because he thought Papadopoulus seemed contrite.

maximum sentence was six months. it is rare for a judge to impose even half the maximum sentence. the judge was going to give him a month, but he broke down and gave a nice, contrite, sincere apology in court, so the judge cut it in half. you don't follow this stuff very closely, do you?

Robert Mueller isn't embarrassed or scared. He's a Vietnam fighter, and he knows how to face down and out maneuver the enemy. Robert Mueller will come out of this smelling like diamonds and roses. 45 will come out of this smelling like shit.

Embarrassed? Why? He pleaded guilty....gave all information they wanted....man will be a felon....as far as the penalty...most would have been 6 months...were not talking murder here....penalty not important... Am sure if more time was wanted the Judge would have been so informed...no witch hunt...investigation still on going..just not yet finished. When finished? When it's finished no matter what Giuliani suggests.

It leads to Hillary and then the DNC.........

Bottom line is no matter how you frame it, this is like getting four parking tickets and refuse to pay the court, and the Judge gives you actually 13 days in jail. What a joke. How many man hours and time was wasted on this, and obviously he had nothing to give the Mueller team in any iformational form.

I saw an interview with her before the sentencing date. My wife and I both thought she spoke with a Russian accent Definitely not Greek!

It leads to Hillary and then the DNC......... lordy….back to Hillery again..$80 million spent plus how many years wasted and all they got was squat.. I believe if she passed ,was buried...possible the next day or two V and friends would be at the grave site with shovels and a stack of kindling and a big stake, ready to dig her up, plant the stake, tie the body to it , pile the kindling around it and light it. Give it a rest already....Obama too...it's all about the Donald now and it does not look good for the yellow haired one...
