seemingly doing so quietly to the great disappointment of these young people...It was a path to citizenship plus a way to show loyalty to their new country. I wonder if this just came up or was influenced by our current POTUS...his feeling toward immigrants is well known....For me , the man is paranoid over the issue as is some of his top cabinet heads and Administration leaders... If it is because of fear of security risks...such people have been in the Armed forces since the revolution...and while there is always a risk of spying or what ever...from experience...the harm of a enlisted basic recruit...a grunt..being in position of responsibility and know much more then how to make up a bunk...go to chow and follow their Corporals and Sgts orders is asking a lot...IMHO. ============================ "SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Some immigrant U.S. Army reservists and recruits who enlisted in the military with a promised path to citizenship are being abruptly discharged, the Associated Press has learned. The AP was unable to quantify how many men and women who enlisted through the special recruitment program have been booted from the Army, but immigration attorneys say they know of more than 40 who have been discharged.... --------------------------------------------- "“It was my dream to serve in the military,” said reservist Lucas Calixto, a Brazilian immigrant who filed a lawsuit against the Army last week. “Since this country has been so good to me, I thought it was the least I could do to give back to my adopted country and serve in the United States military.” ----------------------------------------------- "“Immigrants have been serving in the Army since 1775,” Stock said. “We wouldn’t have won the revolution without immigrants. And we’re not going to win the global war on terrorism today without immigrants.” ---------------------------------------------- www.yahoo.com/news/ap-newsbreak-us-army-quietly-215122736.html

"SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Some immigrant U.S. Army reservists and recruits who enlisted in the military with a promised path to citizenship are being abruptly discharged, the Associated Press has learned.
The AP was unable to quantify how many men and women who enlisted through the special recruitment program have been booted from the Army, but immigration attorneys say they know of more than 40 who have been discharged or whose status has become questionable, jeopardizing their futures.
“It was my dream to serve in the military,” said reservist Lucas Calixto, a Brazilian immigrant who filed a lawsuit against the Army last week. “Since this country has been so good to me, I thought it was the least I could do to give back to my adopted country and serve in the United States military.”"

More ways to destroy our country readying it for demise so putin can step it. It's all by design of the Donald. Divide from within and then conquer.

It seems for some reason , that our present POTUS and his appointed leaders are disrespecting our service people...For what reason I do not know...We are now engaged in at least three conflicts, actually more when u consider our forces being on the ground in unfriendly territories...Afghanistan, Syria, Africa..[not in the news but many stationed there] . Yeman and many more... ------------------------------------------- "Back in the 1960s, with the war in Vietnam raging and young Americans getting killed every day, it cost about $1,000 to dodge the draft. You got an automatic deferment for college, but once you graduated, or if you dropped out, you went back to 1-A status, which meant you were eligible for military service and could be drafted. The holy grail during the Vietnam war was to become 4-F, the draft status our president, Donald Trump, achieved with a letter from a doctor confirming that he had “bone spurs” on his heels which made him ineligible for military service. That’s where the $1,000 came in. If you had enough money, you could go to a dentist, or a doctor, enough...….[ a $1000 in 1960 was a lot of money...especially for a young college age student, believe minimum wage was .75 at the time to give you some perspective..] For complete article click on link below.... ================================ www.salon.com/2018/07/07/donald-trump-dishonors-our-troops/
