I just saw a trailer for this. Apparently Dr Sandra Lee has garnered a huge following on social media and has a series on The Learning Channel, starting in July. Her special "This is Zit" was successful enough to merit a series. www.allure.com/story/dr-pimple-popper-tv-seriesHere's a sample of her earlier work. Disclaimer: Graphic content. If you've recently eaten, keep a bucket handy. I can't imagine why people would choose to watch hours of this but then again, how do we explain Honey Boo Boo, Mama June, et al? I guess it takes all sorts.

I would rather watch people popping bubble wrap than that show.

Those ain't zits. Those aren't blackheads. For the most part, those aren't skin tags either. To get explosions like that you need something more going on -- boils or cysts or insect larvae or whatnot.
I've lanced some things like that that I found on my body. The relief that you feel as that massive amount of fluid and pressure is released is amazing. It's hard for me to explain how cutting through healthy skin, often without anesthetics of any kind, and applying pressure could be anything but painful, but it feels great to have something like that removed from one's body. I think that this says something about our ability to tolerate and wildly underestimate pain that accumulates gradually. Removing something the size of a marble from under your skin brings relief.
The way that the body encapsulates foreign objects and noxious invaders and then shoots them out cleanly once the skin has been sufficiently opened and proper pressure applied is also amazing. An area of the body that has been sensitive, inflamed and possibly draining for months or years can heal surprisingly quickly once the noxious whatever has been expelled.
I want more people to know how quickly and easily these "no-wants" can be removed. It's inevitable that showing the FO removal will attract the shamers and the folks that find the business sexy but who cares? The folks with marble-sized no-wants under their hides need the message that relief is available.
