what name attached to a movie will make you HAVE to see it? Curtis Hanson is one for me. I love his movies. Sidney Pollack was one. Johnny Depp is another one (and Tim Burton!) The Coen Brothers have rarely disappointed me. The Lady Killers remake was HORRID and I couldn't make it thru A Serious Man, but I've loved all their other movies. Anything with Don Cheadle, Jamie Foxx, Andy Garcia, or Holly Hunter (I saw her HS senior play!!!) what name attached to a movie makes it a No Chance In Hell will I see that? Eddie Murphy has become that way for me. He seems to be such an ass! I still can't believe he walked out of The Oscars after he didn't win for Dream Girls (I didn't really care for that movie) When I'm scrolling thru the guide on Direct TV, if I see Jean-Claude Van Damme is in a movie, it's an automatic NO THANKS At one time I liked Steven Seagal movies, but not since he tried to make "statement movies"  Hey...you're an action hero with a nice butt in jeans. Work to your strengths and keep your politcis to your self!  |

Forest Whitaker comes to mind first as a movie I am NOT interested in seeing, wanting to watch, or have anything to do with!
I don't like his face! LOL makes me upset for some reason!
Then when he did a SEASON of "The Shield" - I was like Nooooo! but his part was played well so I'm ok
NOW he's on CSI? NCIS something! My chick watches that franchise and again I'm like NNOOooo!

I'm not a fan of Mary Louise Parker. Something about her mannerisms annoys me.
