What are some of your favorites? I've got $30 in iTunes gift cards to use up.

I usually listen to Latin Workout Radio on Pandora. I'll keep an ear open for some English songs for you.

Some of my favorite songs are Ali in the Jungle by the Hours, Renegade by Styx, and Run Run Run by Phoenix. My Pandora station is "Mr. Brightside Radio" and has a lot of alternative and classic rock.

'Stayin' Alive' by the bee-Gees in case one of those around you working out goes into cardiac arrest and requires cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The beat of the music perfectly syncs with chest compressions (about 100 chest compressions per minute).

Keeping the beat for CPR? Hum ‘Stayin’ Alive’

Some of the songs from Metallica S&M double CD. Back in the day when I worked out I listened to it when spinning!! GNR had some good songs too.

What genre do you listen to? And what exercises are you doing?
I find some music better for swimming vs. weight lifting vs. running because of the beats per minute.

For example, for running I love poppy upbeat music: Rumour has it by Adele Everybody talks by Neon Trees Dirty little secret by All-America rejects Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne Hello by Dragonette S.O.B. by Nathaniel Rateliff Most anything upbeat by Madonna, Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, etc. falls into this category.
For swimming, I prefer things with a slightly slower beat, although the above still work. Sound of Settling by Deathcab for Cutie I am the Highway by Audioslave Rehab by Amy Winehouse Gives you hell by All-American Rejects Sail by AWOL Nation I generally look for a slightly slower beat with a strong bass line to help me keep stroke time - I like the faster music as well but it will speed me up and then I run out of gas halfway through my workout.
For weight lifting, I prefer music that's a little angrier on balance, regardless of beat. Radioactive by Imagine Dragons Anna Molly by Incubus Best of You by Foo Fighters This ain't a scene, it's an arms race by Fall out Boy Just a girl by No Doubt Also anything I listened to 1995-2001 generally works for me.
And finally, the number one best workout song of all time, suitable for all activity other than group classes: Get over it by OK Go

Some of the greatest showman songs would work.
Starting to build my workout playlist myself.

Don't even think about working out to this one. You won't be able to get any actual working out accomplished with the giggles.

Zouk La Se Sel Medikaman Nou Ni by Kassav. Fast-paced and energetic. Can't help but move when this is playing.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, everyone! I appreciate your time. And, I cannot believe how much I have in common with some of you. I already have Violet and Hollaback downloaded. NoNamePerson, I still need to download me some of the S&M! DH has it somewhere... Pants, LOL! I still have No Doubt's cassette... To answer your question, I do treadmill and stationary bike for cardio, and then some light weights. I have a separate playlist for each of those, as well as one called "Riding" for ATV purposes.

New York Groove - Ace Frehley/KISS Mama Mia - ABBA Run Away - Slade Gives You Hell - All-American Rejects My list is a crapton of 80s. And it's at home on my laptop so I'd have to look at it.

Rob Zombie - Dragula Drowning Pool - Bodies
I don't actually listen to the words - can't see them so can't really follow them - I just go with the beats.
Michael Franti and Spearhead - Say Hey (I Love You) John Fogerty - Centerfield Queen Queen Queen
I could go on and on

Trying to list stuff I haven't seen: I like a lot of The Offspring, they have a lot of fast songs. Psycho and She Hates Me by Puddle of Mudd have a good beat at a fairly moderate speed. Everclear's Everything to Everyone Blues Traveler's Hook might be good for sprints, with faster and slower sections. Just don't try to sprint to Kenny G. That was my worst spinning class ever! That instructor had no clue how to match music with the workout.
