would seem the boys around the Persian Gulf are a bit nervous about the support they think they have...or not..from the West. Iran makes them nervous too and they dont see enough happening to keep Iran from the bomb...so..... its an interesting read.

whatever the israelis have, the saudis have. the saudis are the arab military powerhouse in that sphere of influence. they should be running the libyan no fly zone.

The Saudis do not have nuclear weapons at this time. They are, however, aware there may be a need for the development of same, seeing that Iran and Israel both have them.

seems to me that saudis could buy some and not have to build them. we have been keeping israel and saudi arabia on par for militarily for decades. that's our real mid east policy. sortra like our real energy policy, keep our domestic oil in the ground until the rest of the world runs out. officially the US does not have a national energy policy.

the US is one of the few advanced countries that doesn't have an official energy policy.
brazil does.
i agree we should have one.
