Do any of you know of people who make late or last minute traditional IRA contributions of less than $50, just to play the tax tables? If you do, how cheeky are they about it? Do you know of any who do it to the penny?
In case that wasn't clear, what I am speaking of is a person with a taxable income (before making another IRA contribution) of 11759, who makes a late deposit into an IRA of $10. This takes them up a line in the tax tables and reduces their tax by $7.
