RIP Steven Bochco
I just started watching NYPD Blue on Hulu. I have only watched the first episode. I had no idea there were 12 seasons. This is going to take me a while.

Blue is no longer free with Prime but it was back when I first bought my membership. I had several binge-watch sessions but still it took a long time to get through the series. That was okay. I enjoyed every moment of the time spent.
Andy is an interesting character. He's seriously flawed but there's also a side of him that evokes compassion. David Caruso was an idjut for leaving the show but he eventually got his career back on track and NYPD Blue was probably stronger after his departure. Jimmy Smits and others who partnered with Sipowicz created a different set of interaction dymamics than the John Caruso character could have ever provided.

I never realized David Caruso left so early. It surprised me when he left only a few episodes into season 2. I am still on season 2 and have seen maybe 2 episodes with Jimmy Smitts.
I think my favorite episode so far is the one where Andy rescues the dog of a CI that was killed.
