What marvelous news! I'm so happy for you and your family. Cancer is nasty stuff and it's so encouraging to see the strides we're making toward stopping it and saving lives!

Just got home from seeing my oncologist.
5 years cancer free
All pokes, prods, draws, scans have come back in the normal range. Next visit will be in a year and it will be a blood test and check-up. This will go on for a couple of years then all I have to do is go to GP about every 2 years.
I'm very, very grateful for the medical skills and knowledge that has given me this time.

Well, it's 7 years now. Had a CT scan last week and that came back clear. So the colon cancer is still gone. However, a spot showed on my pancreas. So next week I get an MRI to see what is going on. Nervous about this one. I know I shouldn't be because I can't change anything. Happy 79th birthday to me ............

Had my MRI Tuesday morning, and tomorrow will have a phone appointment with oncologist.
I'm nervous.
Contrast MRI so three sets of pictures were taken. I have to have my eyes covered when I have any of these tests done. I'm usually not claustrophobic, but going into that machine gives me the willies .......... so I keep eyes closed.
I'm trying to stay positive ...... and know I can't change the outcome.
But I'm nervous

Cyst on pancreas so need an endoscopy done. Don't have an appointment yet so sometime next week.
Need to find someone to take me as I don't trust DHs driving. He gets confused and distracted too easily.

Endoscopy showed a hiatal hernia with my stomach moving up and down to my chest cavity. Dr said to ignore unless it starts to give problems. Small cyst that can be ignored but have a CT scan yearly. A bit of sore throat now but that will go away quickly. So at 79 this old broad is good to go .........

When they were doing the scan for hiatal hernia they discovered an aortic aneurism which they were able to fix before it burst. Hope they hiatal hernia does not cause any issues and the cyst does not grow.
