Did you actually read the article?
"In every war, nations come to resemble their enemies, so I suppose it’s normal that the anti-Trump movement would come to resemble the pro-Trump movement. But it’s not good. I’ve noticed a lot of young people look at the monotonous daily hysteria of we anti-Trumpers and they find it silly.
This isn’t just a struggle over a president. It’s a struggle over what rules we’re going to play by after Trump. Are we all going to descend permanently into the Trump standard of acceptable behavior?" If you were hoping that he was accepting the fact that the anti-Trump movement itself is declining, you were wrong. Read it again. He's as anti-Trump as he ever was, and he wants the other anti-Trumpers to improve the quality of their conversation about Trump, and not resort to the lowbrow like Wolff's book.
I agree with him. Wolff's book was trashy and poor journalism. Anti-Trumpers should stick to facts, and focus on the important stuff, not on what Ivanka said about her dad's hairstyle.

I really don't think there is a huge risk the non Trump fans are going to start embracing Wolff's standard of journalism. I don't do daily hysteria, I think many no longer do. However there is sadly enough material being created by Trump comedians certainly can fill daily shows.
The other main point in the article is a good portion of the WH just keeps their heads down and does stuff.

I think you are missing the point. This was written by David Brooks. He is still an anti-Trumper, but is seeing the light. It is over.

And in answer to the first response, yes, I read it. Is it a pro-Trump article? Of course not. Does it show the Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans (in his opinion) basically finished? Yes.

Please quote the sentences of the article that you believe show that he thinks the anti-Trump republicans are basically finished, please.

Did you think that article would help your argument? It confirms what I said:
Brooks has been wrong on many, many things in the past, but he might be right about this. Wolff's book has brought out another wave of revelations that paint the Trump White House in an objectively negative light, but that's only if you believe every word in the book, hate the Trump administration, and need a third-party opinion to confirm your biases. The rest is all fake news.
Journalism is at a crossroads in the age of Trump. There are still many good journalists left who cross their t's and dot their i's and produce verifiably exceptional pieces from their reporting. At least Brooks acknowledges that Wolff's book is chock-full of inaccuracies, even for modern journalistic standards — and he'll likely lose his anti-Trump membership for it.
You're reading what you want to read out of these articles. They don't say what you want them to say. Sorry.

Anti-Trump people seeing the light?🙈 That would be the day but most likely not this century or even millennia!

I think more he is trying to counter the new reality of "lowbrowism" being the accepted norm.

I believe that is going to happen...I believe I mentioned that a while ago..generational thing possible...my parents generation more status quo...tats not considered de jour...my generation...more rebellious..less accept status quo..tats a bit more prevalent, odds on surviving just so so so , so why not , what the hell...unit , branch...nothing big..hey young......probably the war.. Then we came to our Donald...lies and more lies...blatent attacks against opponents...at his rallies, this is the guy running for our top job in the country..a heckler opens up...he tells followers to get rid of them and a little violence against the big mouth wouldn't be a bad thing...and his base did so under his encouragement and he won...whether that is the reason..who knows but till proven not successful...it will be followed as the way to get to #1. Regarding encouraging violence against non supporters of the Donald at his crallies...by the Donald himself, and no0t just the crowd but his hired people...Yup...our POTUS ..been done before...Germany in the 30's... www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-violence_us_56e1f16fe4b0b25c91815913---------------------------------------------------- "Racial slurs, nasty rhetoric and violence at Trump rallies have become commonplace against protesters, bystanders, and reporters. Assaults are committed not only by rowdy Trump fans, but by the staff he employs to keep the events safe. But rather than denounce these incidents, Trump is making them part of his brand, and uses them to rev up crowds. “There may be somebody with tomatoes in the audience,” Trump warned people at a rally in Iowa last month. “If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees.” Trump has even threatened to personally get in on the action. “I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell ya,” he said of a protester on Feb. 22.

No, not at all. It is just a cautionary opinion to anti-Trumpers. Nothing more. Not that they should become pro-Trump, but that they should not become like him in their dislike.

Is that the score board for who is the bigger moron? I just assumed most rather normal people would be happy for the shutout, even if Donald won. CNN must have been. Evidently, you are not.

I’m sorry, I didn’t even read that! You see! I gave up reading anything concerning Trump and his acolytes because is always some stupid shit that they can’t help themselves but do! And by God I haven’t seen one, really ONE good thing that he or his administration had done in the past year so why bother? Im putting all my energy trying to decide whom I can support in the midterms that would disrupt this whole thing of ass kissing that goes on now! And then on to 2020 when we, as a nation, can choose somebody that will act at least partially in the interests of the country.

You lost me on that one, Which party is going for the best interest of the Country instead of their party? We ain't got one,,,, that has the interest of the Country first! Pushing of the parties political agenda first and foremost! How can we have the most control.

Sorry, I thought they would have been affiliated with a party.

Most countries in the world have more than two political parties that fight for power and control. Also most countries in the world choose their leader based on popular vote and it doesn’t necessarily mean 50% +1 either. Here we are at the point where both parties care about their own agenda and not much about what people actually want. Who are they gonna choose? The other guy? He’s worse and they bank on that thought. And do we have a choice? For a society that makes such a big case about competition, we don’t have much of that when it comes to politics.

I’ll have some of that green stuff or maybe some brown! Keep the orange away from me! The color has been ruined so I don’t really care for it anymore!
