A reporter said the Senators behaved undignified and childish. He said both sides got into it. Have you ever seen the way the British do it? Not sure if it's the House of Lords or House of commons. It's a madhouse, everyone booing and shouting at the same time.
I always thought we had better decorum in our politics than they did. Not any more.

Maybe we should just adopt their ways and get it over with. Also, a pit of jello in the middle so when things get bad, they can wrestle to see who wins.

Tenn, of course he called the investigation rigged. It feels like he's been selling this story since he's been elected. Thing is, if the FBI rigged the election in favor of anyone, it was in the favor of Trump. Before Comey's 'we don't know, but we are telling you this anyway about the emails on Weiner's laptop', Trump had a one in 5 chance per five thirty eight. After, right before the election they had Trump at 1 to 3 odds. I have a feeling it was really closer than that. The one thing Strzok could have done to ruin Trump's chances, he didn't do. IMO Trump wants to refocus everyone on the FBI by playing his tattered victim card. He's planned this for a long time to protect himself from whatever the investigation finds. He wants people to assume its not true. When its actually far more likely they won't find all his connections. This is really his long version of Bill Clinton's "I didn't have sex with that woman."

I can't get past Louie Gohmert's comment: “When I see you looking with a little smirk, I wonder how many times did you look so innocently into your wife's eyes and lie to her about Lisa Page,” Gohmert began. The hearing room erupted, with someone shouting “insane asylum” and someone else asserting that Gohmert needed medication." www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/7-key-moments-from-peter-strzok%E2%80%99s-wild-hearing/ar-AAzZaJB Seriously, with our current president, the head of Gohmert's party, having a history with serial wives, girlfriends, mistresses, and the ones he just banged or pawed in passing, Gohmert thought it was a good idea to go there with Strozk?
I did like how the dems brought in visuals at the end of the hearing to show how many people have been indicted/convicted so far in the Mueller investigation, to contrast with this GOP Barney Fife fixation on a mid level FBI guy's emails.
Holy Crap, where do I even start here!! mid level FBI guy,, Some one starting with the FBI would be ,,,,,,, Sub-terrain?? Now, Why?? Why is Strozk having to testify in the first place? Now that 'Spygate' has been tainted and the extremist twigshack has fallen, will the Righties, historically the party of hate Russia, finally decide to give a shit that the Rooskies interfered with the democratic election process in America? Or will their not so subtle drift towards fascism continue led by Putin's BF?

So yes I am a conservative. There is always a plausible explanation for anything that supports the lefts agenda but Trump oh no can't go there he is already guilty. Truly amazing. BTW I am a white middle age avg income male...I know I'm the bad guy. With all the text evidence against Stock how can anyone defend him in thinking he would be neutral in an investigation. No one is calling any cheating "acceptable". Explain why infidelity impinges FBI dudes credibility as an FBI agent but not trumps for prez?

I am thinking that you are referring to FBI agent Peter Strzok in your post. The way that one can defend him is by looking to see if there was any actual bias in his actions concerning the investigation. As none of the information from that investigation has been released, I am in wait and see mode. BTW, FWIW, I am a liberal. My US Representative is conservative Republican.

Now he is just a rich dude, LOL... change the narrative when it suits you... oh yeah you are the one that keeps moving the goal post. Here is a logical trail for you: that rich dude occupies the highest office in the land. You and conservatives like you did not find it non-acceptable that he cheated on all 3 of his wives, nor did it show a lack of character. You did not find the fact that he said he could freely grab women by reprehensible and sickening... you still voted for him and felt he was qualified to occupy such office and represent the nation. Now you think I am to take you serious when you try to hold a FBI agent to a higher standard that you held the freaking president of the USA. Who are you trying to fool? If screwing around on his wives, sleeping with porn stars and grabbing other women by the does not impact his job as the president; I will side with the Office of the Attorney General that basically said there was no bias in this FBI agent investigation even if he was cheating on his wife or did not like Trump. Again: I call total BULLSHIT on your position.

One does not equal the other. It is possible to defend a child rapist with the same passion you defend an innocent man : it is called doing your job as a lawyer, everyone is entitled to representation and due process. Does not mean you condone the actions of the child rapist. What he is guilty of and stupid for is using a government phone to express those personal opinions. The Attorney General office (republican by the way) released a report that they found no bias in the investigation (read it).

I thought I replied but lost it, newbie here...Hatian, you last post proves my point your willing to condemn Trump for divorce cheating, saying inappropriate things all before he was president, but this strozk. Will be honest when he says things negative against the person he is investigating there is supposed to be neutrality here. FWIW I thought the Clinton Lewinsky affair was nobody's business either. The fact he lied was the issue for me.

What matters is not their bias but whether they allowed that bias to hamper them in their investigation. Tell me...do you think Supreme Court justices are neutral? They have biases, too. Should we get rid of judges who lean right or left?

Will be honest when he says things negative against the person he is investigating there is supposed to be neutrality here. FWIW I thought the Clinton Lewinsky affair was nobody's business either. The fact he lied was the issue for me. 1) He was investigating Russia's interference in the election. Trump is only one of many possible people involved.
2) No, there is no requirement for someone to think neutrally of any person they are investigating. I want to point our what is obvious some, but not others. An anti-Trump text is not necessarily pro-Hillary or anyone else not mentioned.
3) Most important, the only proof of acting with bias is actually finding actions showing bias. The texts would not be evidence of wrong-doing in a real courtroom of acting with bias. They would only show Strzok didn't like Trump, Clinton or Bernie.
I suspect we will find out after Trump leaves the WH that he cheated on her when they weren't getting along. So I personally won't think that just because we aren't hearing about whether Trump is cheating now or not, means that its in his past.

Will be honest when he says things negative against the person he is investigating there is supposed to be neutrality here. FWIW I thought the Clinton Lewinsky affair was nobody's business either. The fact he lied was the issue for me. What? I never said Strozk had no bias... he had a bias: he did not think Trump was fit to be president. He said it himself while testifying. That does not mean he could not put his bias aside and do his JOB. Your bias has nothing to do with your ability to do your job, only unprofessional people let that happen. As a investigator his job was to investigate no matter where the lead end up. I have a bias too and I am a republican thank you very much: I did not think trump was fit to represent the Republican Party. But guess what; I put my bias aside and agree that he is our president. I don’t like it, many of us republicans that refused to sell our soul to the devil and still hold on to our values do not like it: but it is what it is. We are all humans, we all have bias, pre-conceived notions based on our reality/upbringing and past being a professional mean putting that aside and doing your job. Again: the Attorney General office found no bias in the way the investigation was handled or being handled. Mueller is a republican, Assistant to the Attorney General and the head of of the FBI are both Republicans... I condemn Trump because Trump past shows a pattern and no way does it align with Republican Values: multiple bankruptcies, not paying the folks that work for him, denigrating women, denigrating minorities, being a bully, being an ASSHOLE. Those were not 1 time thing: it has been a pattern his whole life. I see trump the same way I saw my cousin ex: when someone shows you their true colors take them at their word, don’t try to change them. My cousin was smart and left the asshole before she made a mistake and marrying him. Donald trump showed the Republican Party his true colors and what did we do: we put some damn lipstick on the pig and tried to house train him. And believe me I know that is an insult to pigs because I hear they are pretty smart but work with me here. So excuse me if I find it laughable and just sad that we as a party and country have come to the point where we have a lower standard for the man that represent us and occupies the highest office in the land vs a FBI agent.

Dude, the commander in chief slept with a porn start after his wife just gave birth, cheated on every single women he was married too.

Have a Huffpo. www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/02/infidelity-poll_n_5433633.htmlThis is an older study from data in 2013. I'd love something more current, but I couldn't find much when I was on better internet earlier today. But I did find some interesting things. From the Ashley Madison data hack of 2015, they somehow looked into political affiliation. Apparently Republicans are more likely to use the website than Democrats. I forget who was most likely to, but it may have been Libertarians. Then it turns out while allegedly Repub voters are more horrified by affairs, it turns out they are more likely to want Melania to stay with Donald than Democrats. Male Republicans were at 49% on the stay idea and Female Republicans were more split. 38% stay, 36% leave, the rest undecided.
Tangled web. It feels to me though, that liberals are more likely to give people passes for their own life, but have a stronger preference of no cheating for themselves. MO. FWIW. YMMV.

And let me add ednkris by your own logic no prosecutor should ever be allowed to prosecute a criminal because I am pretty certain the majority of them dislike criminals. So there Judge you have it: my case should be dismissed because this guy over there, the prosecutor, has a history of not liking guys that beat there wives or abuse/molest their children. Also my lawyer should be disbarred because he/she does not like me either so will not uphold their oath and do their job. Imagine our court system following your logic. Also let’s not forget about the judges: they should all go to as someone else posted I am sure they don’t all love those criminals they are sentencing to do hard time.

I am curious why you think its important Donald is rich and at least some of the women were willing to cheat with him? Isn't that how it generally works, willing cheaters cheat with other willing cheaters?
People defend and ignore Trump infidelities. I don't understand why if they are doing that, they won't do it for Strzok. Some great hypocrites were among the questioners. One guy with a pro-life stand has had multiple affairs and has had both his wife and another woman have an abortion. There is no value in playing black pot versus black kettle, or even supporter of black kettle, but not you black pot. It makes one look exceedingly stupid.

Hatian...I agree we all have some degree of bias...I will also agree that one can put those bias aside to do their job..what I don't see fit is showing that bias while doing that job, the AG report may show no bias used but his actions via text shows something totally different. When Trump announced he was running I was glad but didn't see him winning the nomination. As the primaries went on it was clear he was going to get the nomination I gave him my full support, even Trump would be a better president than any democrats on the ticket. Let alone securing the SC for generations. Then with all of Trump accomplishments he will have another 4 years easily.

I am so glad that cause some rich dude cheated on his wife with numerous willing women,,
It is now socially acceptable to fuck around on your wife!!!! and to be defended for it.
ARE You saying I am, or I have EVER defended Trumps screwing around with other women.

Only if you can vote for him, defend him, and then find fault with those that did the same thing as long as they are Demos. I have told since day one,, I didn't vote for Trump,,, I voted against Hillary,,, I said that even before the election. I thought She was going to win, poll after poll said she was going to win, I can not tell you how happy I was when She lost!
She was the worse possible candidate that could have run,, as the election proved she was worse than Trump!
