Hello! I was just wondering if I can deduct the cost for a memorial bench? I worked with the hospital where the bench has been placed and also have copies of the invoices for the bench and plaque. Would I use IRS form 8283? If so, I see there is a place for an appraiser to sign. Could they just use the invoices for appraisal purposes? The total cost of the bench and plaque was $874.
