Matt Damon and Brad Pitt. I yawn thru Matt Damon and feel like slapping Brad Pitt.

I think Denzel Washington is pretty good. I think Matt Damon can be as good as Sean Penn if he wants to be. He was exceptional in Mr. Ripley. I think in general though, he does not pick good projects for most of his films and I am underwhelmed with his characters and performances in action films.

to me, Denzel just plays the same person in different professions.
Brad Pitt is actually a pretty good actor, IMO. He does have range. He was really good in Se7en and Fight Club. Absolutely hilarious as a doofus in Burn After Reading. I loved him in Meet Joe Black (yeah...I know, most people really didn't like that movie. It's one of my all time favorites)

Peach, I was thinking of that movie Burn After Reading. To me it showed his acting ability. There was a movie years ago where a creepy disembodied spirit took over various people, Denzel's character included for a short time. He did a good job. I could be wrong, but I think Denzel suffers the same issue as Matt, the failure to actively pick different types of roles.
Sean Penn is one actor who does a great job of picking different roles and extending himself.

I'm really not an Angelina fan anymore, but she is a pretty good actor. I loved Gia. She was good in Changeling (amazing movie), and A Mighty Heart. Not a huge Zellweger fan either, but she was really good in Chicago and as Bridgett Jones. Nicole Kidman...I totally agree. I'm going to add Dakota Fanning to my list. I don't get why she is such a big deal. And that shriek of hers....

I see the commercials and I'm like it's the same shit! nuthin new! HOWEVER when he did Training Day! Blew my mind! Training Day, is no Bone Collector, is no American Gangster, is no Crimson Tide

Burn after reading is one of my fave movies. I was laughing so hard I woke DH up, he didn't seem to find the closet seen as hilarious as I did.
In fact I am now giggling about it and might watch it tonight.
