Andy Garcia. He was a hunk in When A Man Loves A Woman. Mostly he makes wacko movie choices though.
Jason Bateman. Don't let Jennifer Aniston turn you off their movie Switched-hang in there till you get to his bathroom scene-it was brilliant. He is good looking and talented with sophisticated comedy, but I could also see him in action adventure. I've watched him since Silver Spoons. He would be good with Bruce Willis-and both should be living at the end of the movie!

OMG...how could I have forgotten Andy Garcia??? He is...just...PERFECTION. I did love him in When A Man Loves A Woman! Black Rain, Night Falls on Manhattan, Confidence, The Untouchables etc. He seems like a super nice guy from the interviews I've seen too.

Steve Martin and Jim Carrey. I thought Steve did a great job in "Leap of Faith", and Jim was outstanding in "The Majestic". Cho Yun Fat was Oscar-worthy in "Anna And The King", IMO.

ugh....I'm so sick of Jim Carrey. all those slapstick comedies that came out in quick succession...yuck. I don't watch a lot of movies, but what I have seen of James Marsden has been great...and he gets almost no media attention. he's the lead in Hop, that's out right now. I've heard that sucks though, so don't base my opinion on that please.

I'm not a Jim Carrey movie fan, but he was FANTASTIC in Doing Time on Maple Drive. Gives a glimpse of his true abilities. It's a serious movie, and he did a really good job.
Steve Martin is pretty amazing. A Simple Twist of Fate is one of my favorites movies.

Leonardo DiCaprio. Yes, I know he became a huge movie star after "Titanic." But he's been brilliant in so many movies that most people have never seens. His first big movie was "This Boy's Life" (which was a great adaptation of the original memoir). He was amazing in that. And movies like "The Basketball Diaries," "Total Eclipse," "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," "Marvin's Room" ... There are just so many. Yet a lot of people only know his blockbusters.

Jude Law
one of the presenters or hosts made a crack about him one year at the Oscars. But he's one of those actors who can change his appearance and mannerisms and become a completely different character. He was amazing in The Road to Perdition. Really good as Gigolo Joe in AI too.

That's just it. "The Majestic" is a serious drama, and Carrey played his role to perfection.

Kerry Washington. She's another who can really change her look and mannerisms and I don't realize it's her. The first time I saw her was in Save the Last Dance. She was great in that movie. Really good in Ray too.

Gary Oldman, to a certain extent. He's finally being recognized, but still...

I had to look her up. She's been in tons of things I've seen, but I never realized they were all her. She is beautiful!

I've been watching Oz (YAY! So glad HBO is re-running the series). Man, they have some good actors on that show. Chris Meloni is amazing. He and J. K. Simmons were SO EVIL on Oz. And Dean Winters. Also Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje...that man is A M A Z I N G. Fluent in several languages. I never realized he was a Brit!
