Uhhmm.. what are your skills?
You can sell stuff on ebay...
Or do you actually mean, doing computer stuff? It's really broad subject to give you an answer with question like "I wanna make money on a "computer". What can I do?"

Almost everyone I know who works from home does so only part time and works through a regular company. They usually started working in the office full time, and after a certain period are allowed to telecommute a certain portion of their week. I don't think I know anybody who works completely from home. Oh, except housewives supplementing income by selling stuff once in a while on Etsy or Ebay. I don't think that's what you're looking for though.

You need to figure out what that "whatever" is first. Without that, it's really hard to give you advice. I could tell you go learn e-commerce and start consulting in Websphere, Oracle, Db2, do Java programming...which none of those things you would pick up in "few months".
"Computers" is a broad subject. You need to be more specific and figure out what it is.
