to win the White House. His political campaign staff used the internet beyond any other candidate to win the votes he needed to win.
Now a strategist says the Trump campaign asked Facebook on how to "mine" the facebook data to Trump's advantage in placing ads that were positive vote winners for him.

Now waiting to see a democrat demand two more separate investigations plus another Independent investigation implementing Trump, Facebook, and the Russians all colluding together because that is the only way he could have won.

I read about this a little. I think the scary thing is that the FB ads that were placed were not labeled as ads but appeared more like content. And that is wrong.

Of course the Russians are on FB. They might have been micro targeting on their own. I expect a big portion of Trump's followers who liked his NFL messages are bots and/or Russians.

Of course, all modern campaigns, including Trumps, Clinton's and Obamas use social media to promote their candidate. Obama was particularly good at using social media to appeal to younger voters. Nothing wrong or illegal about this.

Are you trying to compare that to what Russia did, setting up fake front companies to buy up ad space on social media, and creating fake organizations on social media, with the goal of getting Americans to turn on each other?

I don't think this article is totally on the money, but I expect they are correct about Mark Zuckerberg being concerned about how it was used this last election.
