Please stay safe whatever you do.
I have a friend who lives in your area. She works for Orange Co. and is the person who monitors flooding for the county. She is hunkered down at home closer to the coast, but she is prepared as much as anyone can be including a pump to pump water out of her pool when the rains make it over-flow. She has food prepared for several days, coolers, generator, things to do, house is boarded up and as long as she has an internet connection, she will be on the job.
Please stay safe, my friend. And keep your fingers crossed for us too!

Kadee, storm center is moving more toward the Gulf Coast side of Florida. IRMA effects should hit the Orlando area starting on Sunday (wind, rain) and main effect in the area Monday AM. Safely in our building and fully prepared. No trees near my room, which is a good thing. Will be back when it's over. Also hoping you are able to stay safe as it moves on up. Should lose some strength.

Well, technically it's Sun. I just looked at radar & Orlando is starting to get some of the rain...and some of it will be heavy. Glad you are prepared Mod & that your building is ready too. We are as ready as we can get other than me fixing some things that don't need cooked, like ham salad & chicken salad...and there is always PBJ. I have been dumping ice for 3 days now, so have a decent supply plus today I put 3 gallon jugs of water in the chest freezer & a bunch of old Gatorade bottles of water too...to help keep things cold when the power goes out. My upright has enough frost in it, it will take several days for it to thaw out....it's one of those jobs I'd been putting off...which might be good right now. They keep moving the path...latest is showing it going to our west when earlier today we were directly in the path...hoping it keeps moving away, but don't wish danger/damage on anyone else either. If this path holds true, Tallahassee could be more in line to get a direct hit from it....hope it has slowed down by the time it gets up here. I'll try to do my contest pick tomorrow, but if I forget, please forgive me. I haven't looked at any stocks for several days now. And if I disappear, not to worry as we are likely to lose power. Ya'al play nice now, if I don't make it back for a few days!

Thank you! It keeps looking worse & worse for us, but no sense in trying to go any place cause there aren't any places to stay.
Plus I have 5 outdoor only cats here that will need to be fed & my son is here with 2 small dogs.
Keeping fingers crossed for all of us in the path of this storm!
Hope Mod is holding up ok. My friend in his area posted on another board this morning so she still had either power or a cell tower.

All is OK here. Just a lot of trees down and some flooding in CF. No electricity Sun evening 'till Tuesday morning. We were on generator in facility. Hope you did not get a direct hit, kadee.

Not to worry here. We were without power for 9 1/2 hrs. yesterday. We have some small branches in our yard from the guy's pines north of us, one of DH's canopies got torn up and some branches got broken on my 7-8' tall butterfly plant (not bush) and a few loose things flew around like some 5 gallon buckets my DH didn't get put away. Not as much rain as they had predicted either, no more than 3" in most areas around here. We had light rain for about 1 1/2 days with wind gusts up past 50mph, but we can handle that. So we were darn lucky!
So glad you are ok Mod...I was worried. Sure glad your facility had generators too! I think most of us were lucky that Irma fell apart and I guess we can thank a Bermuda high that moved in plus some dry air that helped knock it down too.
The islands SSE of the US are sure a mess!

Hope no more this season, but it is early in September, with a month to go. Enough high wind, heavy rain.
