I am seeing the blue bear at times this am and it got me wondering. Could one of the natural disasters we are facing now or something in the future knock out this board?

PB was having an issue this morning. Their staff has worked on the problem and it should be fixed now.

I don't think it had anything to do with it, though as they said on the support forum
"While our systems are just fine in regards to what you mentioned, what we cannot predict or have control over is the internet in your area."

Yes. If something big hit CA, the PB servers would go down. So it would be more likly YMAM Access v. Earthquake. Yeah. That's based on my hunch that their primary servers are in CA. They surely have remote backups somewhere, meaning the forum content wouldn't be lost forever, but the board would be dead as long as the primary servers were down. To users like you and me, it would manifest as CloudFlare errors, not angry bears. Angry bears mean Proboards' servers are having problems internally, but they're still responding to requests.

... based on my hunch that their primary servers are in CA. ... Only a "hunch"? Your first response sounded so confident.

Curiously, the (outdated) Wiki article on PB Inc. indicates PB uses "The Planet Internet Servers" for their hosting, and TPIS is based in Texas (also according to a dated Wiki article). So... who knows. ETA: I amend my initial response to "If something big hit (city where PB's primary servers are located), the PB servers would go down."

I've known for a while that ProBoards main servers are in Texas, weather they are still there who knows. The main office is in Southern California, that I know for sure.
